There saying Miss California lost the Miss USA pageant cause a gay judge did not like her diplomatic response to a loaded and politically divisive question he asked her.

He asked her if she supported Gay marriage. She apologetically stated that she believed in civil unions but thought that marriage was between a man and a woman. Her answer visibly upset him. God knows why unless he's some sort of fanatic.

He later posted a video moking the contestant and saying she only had half a brain.

What an unmitigated asshole. First his question was completely innapropriate. Such a divisive political question is a lose, lose situation for a contestant as no matter what they answer or how diplomatically or graciously, they are going to piss someone off who disagrees with them. Second, it wasn't like her answer was that of a raging homophobe, she gave a good answer.

The fact that her response was very moderate and diplomatic wasn't enough for this guy, so after the fact he publicly ridiculed the poor woman with a Youtube video.

Well that's going to back fire on him. If she's a half brain (she's not) then he's a pin head (sorry Dixie!) of minute proportions.

I think the gay community would do it'self a world of good by publicly distancing themselves for this asshole not to mention lets hope it's the last time he judges a contest at this level.

She's got my vote too. Saw this on the news this morning and couldn't believe she was asked such a question at a pageant of all places. I thought she answered thoughtfully and gracefully. Much less direct than I could have been.
 
The guys is a total tool, so are the hot chicks who enter them.
The teenage one had the best rant ever on Maps.
 
Yeah, great question Perez Hilton. That truly was a no-win situation to be asked a question about one of the most divisive social issues of the day.

She didnt lose because of her opinion she lost because she thought the US had legalized gay marrriage , she is from California for gods sake.

She very clearly siad we live in a coutnry where you can chose same sex marriage.

No we dont and Her own state just had a big well known prop 8 to prove it.

Shes a fail on the brains part.
 
I am sure you clapped with glee when one of the judges said some vile things about her. All she said was that marriage should only be between a man and a woman when asked about it.

Californians could have chosen to allow gay marriage but didn't by not passing Prop 8 just as she said. Pretty freaking clear.

And the reason she's getting so much heat is because she said she didn't support it. It's not because you are unable to interpret her response and thus thinks she's the stupid one.
 
Sounds a bit weird to me.

Isn't the whole basis of a beauty contest the fact that it doesn't matter what they say as long as they aren't fat, have nice tits and look good in an evening dress and a bikini?

they ask a question to make sure you appear to have a modicum of intelligence and ability to articulate the English language.
 
It is very obvious that she is being castigated by this judge and others because of her stance, not because she "thought" wrongly about people having the choice of gay marraige.

But if you want to put it in that context, what she said wasn't wrong. She said we live in a country where you can choose gay marraige or regular marriage. That's technically correct. If you live in this country and are gay and want to experience "marraige" you can choose to move to Vermont or Iowa or some other of the few states where such has been legalized.
