I have met very few people who don't think they are taxed too much.

Almost everyone I know thinks their taxes are too high and the money is wasted.

and it's not my side of the fence. you are completely wrong about most libertarians and like most typical partisans you only have the ability to see things in left or right mode. Libertarians are NOT disaffected republicans, although more and more of them seem to line up with our fiscal conservative views, but mostly we're about a very limited government. they need to get out of the marriage business. that doesn't mean we are pro gay marriage, but we're not anti gay marriage either. it's not OUR business what people do in their personal lives.

anyway, I don't think it would matter much explaining the libertarian position to you because I don't think you're capable of seeing outside of your own reality.

If by "your people" you mean African-Americans on the issue of gay-marriage .. we're dumb like that. What can I tell you?

We're homophobic and far too tied to religion.

But even among the homophobic, like African-Americans, even they are starting to smell the coffee. Since you've been keeping up on the California referendums, I'm sure you're aware of how support against gay marriage there keeps dwindling and support for it keeps rising.

Soon California will be as progressive a state as ... IOWA.
