Only a very small percentage of Americans are stupid enough to believe such bullshit. Note the intelligence and sanity levels of those who actually attacked Congress and ransacked offices. Correct me if I'm wrong, but I haven't seen a single one who had all of his parts properly glued together.

2. The only way for a revolt to overthrow a government is to have popular support of population. Think Arab Spring or the American, French and Russian Revolutions. These idiots thought they could do it with a few thousand useful idiots in a nation of 328 million Americans in the world's most successful economic, military and political power. They were doomed before they started because far too many Americans are not unhappy enough to burn down their own homes, grab a rifle and join a revolution.

I'm not a prosecutor. What I'd do though would be :

Squeeze the perps at the scene for intel. Make them roll and get others names at the scene
Follow their internet and email tracks, signal apps tracks to each other (squeeze others)
Until I find a loop of communication that in totality constitutes a plan to do it.
Indict those that were part of the plan and those at the scene in that loop for insurrection, conspiracy etc...
