The incoming Biden administration and Congress is one of the politically weakest regime changes in modern US history. The Democrats control the Senate only because of the VP being a tie breaker. They lost seats in the House. Biden and Harris got not particular "mandate" from the election and don't appear particularly popular.

This very well could be a second "Carter" administration where the Democrats won only because the Republican at the top of the ticket (Nixon with Carter and now Trump) was reviled and the vote was in large part a rejection of that person. If so, Biden gets one term unless he somehow manages to pull of the near impossible and not screw things up on the economy in particular, but with foreign policy, and other issues like Carter did.
If the Democrats overreach, and I'm betting they will based on history, they have two years then they get turned out of Congress wholesale and Biden becomes prostrated with a Congress that opposes everything he does.

I kind of understand what you are saying, but it is technically, and also kind of non technically off. Carter ran against Ford and then Reagan. Never ran against Nixon. Carter's victory was a reaction to Nixon's dishonesty, but Ford was also a reaction to Nixon's dishonesty. Both Carter and Ford were very good, moral, honest people. Reagan was not a very honest person, so maybe was a reaction to the good moral character of Ford and Carter.
