He'll hand them out like bribes. Ever since Presidents started handing them out to pop stars and Hollywood celebrities, the Medal has lost its luster.

The Presidential Medal of Freedom is awarded by the president of the United States "for especially meritorious contribution to (1) the security or national interests of the United States, or (2) world peace, or (3) cultural or other significant public or private endeavors".
Reason's #1 and #2 are important. #3 seems to trivialize the medal. Generating a special medal for actors, singers, poets and such would be better IMO rather than mixing them with those who significantly contributed to national interests or world peace.
