If masks and other government policies work, how do you explain this?

Ummm Florida has about twice as many people as Illinois. Illinois 17,600 COVID deaths Florida 21,400 COVID deaths. oops.

Wups. Math error. Ratio used as absolute scalar. Death rates are given in deaths per 100,000. It doesn't matter what the population is.

Illinois has a higher death rate than Florida. Mostly due to gang warfare, which is much worse than in Maimi or Orlando.

As far as covid19 death rates, they are the same: zero. Covid19 does not kill. Pneumonia that it can induce kills. That is a bacteriological infection that can be treated if you get it early enough.

The invasion of Grenada and bombing of Libya weren't considered to be wars.

The invasion of Grenada was to stabilize a civil war that had already started there. We never declared war on Grenada. We were assisting the UK in stabilizing it.
Libya was already committing acts of war against the U.S. before Reagan ever became President.

We were not in any official wars since WWII.
When the United States declared war on Japan after the 1941 Pearl Harbor attacks, it signified one of the last times the country officially declared war. Korea, Vietnam, the Persian Gulf, Afghanistan, Iraq: technically, those were not wars.Sep 18, 2014

[h=3]U.S. Presidents Don't Declare War Any More | Time[/h]

Symantics fallacies. False authority fallacy.
The Korean war was a declared war. The Vietnam war was a declared war. Presidents do not declare wars. Congress does.
All of these are declared wars. In the case of the Persian Gulf war, the Afghanistan war, and the Iraq war, these nations, including the nations in the Persian Gulf, declared war on the U.S.

So, show proof Congress declared war. I’ll wait.

No, it isn't, forum rule-breaker.

Disposable medical masks (also known as surgical masks) are loose-fitting devices that were designed to be worn by medical personnel to protect accidental contamination of patient wounds, and to protect the wearer against splashes or sprays of bodily fluids. There is limited evidence for their effectiveness in preventing virus transmission either when worn by the infected person for source control or when worn by uninfected persons to reduce exposure. Our systematic review found no significant effect of face masks on transmission of laboratory-confirmed influenza.

We did not consider the use of respirators in the community. Respirators are tight-fitting masks that can protect the wearer from fine particles and should provide better protection against influenza virus exposures when properly worn because of higher filtration efficiency.

A surgical mask is nothing more than a regular N95 mask treated with a biocide. They are good for about a couple of hours after opening them. After that, they are just like any other N95 mask.
Surgical masks are somewhat effective against bacteria due to this treatment, but that only lasts for a couple of hours. None of these masks are effective against viruses at all.

An N95 mask is also considered a 'respirator' by the industry. Canister masks, such as used by painters, are also ineffective against viruses. The charcoal canisters won't stop a virus. Compressed air masks do not stop a virus either. The compressor filters are ineffective against a virus. Oxygen masks are not tight fitting. Full gas masks, such as used in chemical exposure and bio and chemical warfare, are effective, the these masks are heavy, awkward, hot, and uncomfortable. They are also expensive. I know. I have to wear one of these bastards on certain jobs when I'm installing industrial equipment.

N95 masks are dust masks. They are good against particulates 3 microns and larger. Viruses are much smaller than this. Cloth masks are even worse than N95 masks. The only thing cloth masks are really good for is wetting them and using them against smoke long enough to get out of a fire, looking like a hypochondriac dork, or robbing banks and convenience stores.

200 people die every minute. 21 out of every one million dies from
C🥱19 [emoji631]

Source? Note the CDC is not a source. It only copies numbers States give them. How do you know ANYONE died from covid19? The symptoms of this mild virus are not lethal. Pneumonia certainly can be, and covid19, like any respiratory virus, can certainly induce it.

I quit looking up the statistics months ago when it was 23 per million.
Africa 1 per two million CV19 deaths
Australia 1 per 4 hundred thousand CV19 deaths

Last month we were at the whopping 21 per million. Not even a blip on the virological surveillance grid.

I’ll pull it up again yawn

You are starting to get it.

Statistics are not government figures. It is a branch of mathematics. Governments routinely ignore and deny this branch of mathematics. They often just make up numbers out of thick air.

The numbers don’t lie. The left does. Truth is not a left wing virtue.

are wearing masks while posting on jpp pp from home SMDH

Numbers do lie. Making up numbers and calling them data is a lie. It is also known as an argument from randU fallacy. A number that is made up is a random number of type randU (the so-called psuedo-random number). Using them as data is a fallacy.

Example: NASA numbers showing a global Earth temperature. It is not possible to measure the temperature of the Earth. We don't have anywhere near enough thermometers to even begin a sensible statistical summary of this type.

Thank him for his service. my point is, we need to get back to the constitution, no congressional declaration of war, no shooting and bombing people and shit.

Congress declared war for the Vietnam war. They did it for the Korean war too. They also did it to answer the declaration of war against the United States by Iraq, Afghanistan, Libya, etc.
In each of these cases, Congress used the term 'authorization to use military force'. That itself is a declaration of war.
