The point is that several here were seriously trying trying to argue that she didn't call herself doctor, yet a cursory search of Twitter exposes that canard.

Pretty good for a black woman in this country. One of millions. How can that be? According to Democrats and BLM systemic racism and such makes things like that impossible. Does not fit the white liberal narrative.Care to explain Walt? Now would be good.

Mott the Hoople said she does not ask others to call her doctor, not that she doesn't refer to herself as doctor.

1. She is a very educated woman and deserves to be called doctor as much as any other doctorate.

2. An Ed.D is much easier than other doctorates because graduate education courses are about the easiest courses at any university.

3. She has an M.A. and so she has done "real" graduate work. Seeking to denigrate her is just lashing out by sore losers.

Biden got her degree in 2007 and became second lady of the US in 2009. Nobody cared then or in the entire eight-year Obama administration about her Ed.D. So I'm convinced this is more about the fact that her husband is going to be the next president, than it is about Jill herself.

Calling yourself doctor when you've never been to medical school is truly pompous and self- aggrandising in my opinion.

Even with all her accompishments, the Alt Right still attacks her. I can't help but think racism has something to do with it all.

I'd refer to my college professors that had a PhD " doctor" while in the academic environment.
When I was a kid we had a college professor at the tennis club who had a PhD in physics and nobody ever thought to call him doctor. The kids just referred to him as Mr., same as any other adult. In fact, I didn't even know what he did for a living at the time.
Well if it makes the left wing media feel good to call Mrs. Biden doctor I certainly don't mind. Titles mean next to nothing to me. Like Mott said it's what you accomplish with it that counts. And Mrs. Biden really hasn't done anything with it.
She actually did more with her master's in English teaching remedial writing at a community college.
My sister got one of those Ed.D.'s and became a low paid counselor at a women's dormitory. I seriously doubt any of those girls called her doctor.
