Personally, I'm very interested in why people hate. Anger is one thing. I'll curse, yell and dance around as well as anyone when I accidentally bang a finger with a hammer or bang my shin. I don't hate the hammer, whatever I banged into or even myself. I don't hate anyone. I do understand why some people must be neutralized from harming others. That's not hate, it's pragmatism. Hate, IMO, is an illness and the base cause of a lot of the world's problems.
As you and I have seen on this forum, hate is a base problem preventing politically different Americans from finding common ground and working out mutually satisfying solutions. This forum is a microcosm of the US political world. Your views, like evince's, reflect the Democratic base. People like Bigdog, Stretch and Volsrock reflect the Republican base. People like the TD twins and INT/IBDa/gfm175 are simply mentally ill. This forum is simply a safe outlet to the world for them. Their actions and beliefs are largely inconsequential. Those of the two previous groups do have consequences.
It doesn't take a rocket scientist or even a college degree to figure out why American politics is so dysfunctional.

Self-loathing isn't confined to latent homosexuals. It exists among all human beings who feel, or actually are**, culturally oppressed be it for gender, skin tone, country of origin, sexual preference or anything else.

I don't understand LGBTQ. All of that is over my head. I don't spend a whole lot of time thinking about it.
But I do know one thing- the people who are a part of the LGBTQ community, are Americans who have the same rights as I do. It doesn't serve me in any way to question them, belittle them, deny them, harm them, discriminate against them, make fun of them, hate them, pick on them, insult them, or fear them.

Why do you think whites voting for a racist isn't also unhealthy? Why are you playing the race card here? Isn't it true that any human being voting for a divisive hater is generally unhealthy? Why do you choose to focus only on "Blacks"? Is it because you, too, are a racist who feels he knows what is best for "Blacks"?
Additionally, while Trump is clearly a racist and a fucking moron, there are more issues to consider than whose fat ass sits at a desk in the Oval Office.

Agreed. Like many other groups of Americans, they are fighting for their rights to be treated as equal Americans. Many of their complaints, like those of AIM, BLM or NOW, are legitimate with a basis in fact.
IMO, when they lie, such as fluffing up their numbers from 2% Gay to 20% Gay, it hurts their veracity and legitimacy. Does it really matter if the number is 2% or 20%? No. An American is an American regardless of gender, sexual preference, skin tone, religion or anything else. All Americans have a fundamental Constitutional right to be treated equally and fairly. Fluffing up numbers hurts their cause more than it helps it. Only idiots trust liars.
