Hey, thanks for making my decision easy. Sometimes I anguish over the decision to cut it off with a poster. No such problem in your case. I hope you enjoyed yourself. That was your only chance to mouth off to me. That tells me loud and clear, serves notice. If I DON'T place you on Ignore then I am condoning disrespect, and asking for more.
Now, since you have mouthed off to me, and I will never read another thing you write, let me just take a moment to have the final say in our very short discussion.
Sounds like you might be making the mistake of conflating street violence with the Democratic party. The fact of the matter is that we often do not know who starts the violence. It always seems to happen late at night after peaceful protests in the day. Sometimes it is provocateurs from the right. Whoever it is, it does not represent the Democratic Party. That association is made by right wing hate peddlers, talking heads whose job it is to whip up emotion just to get attention and sell advertising without a care for the damage they are doing to the soul of the nation. They find one instance and try to claim without basis this is what the whole party is doing. That doesn't pass the smell test. It's cheap stereotyping. Don't fall for it.
America is stronger when we stand together. I believe Democrats, and the President-elect shares this view, should do their best to open the lines of communication with our fellow Americans. We know that America doesn't want all the things we've talked about doing. It wasn't a resounding victory for Democrats. We get the message. What we need to find is what we can agree on that needs to be done. Somehow we have got to move forward. It's time to open up the lines of civil discourse. We stand ready to talk with our friends on the right who can conduct a mutually respectful dialog.
I also understand that, due to the nature of chat boards, it sometimes becomes necessary to exclude some individuals who are only here to vent frustration, and are simply looking for a target upon which to focus hatred. That is sad to see tormented minds, but those of us who came here for an adult conversation are under no obligation to entertain trolls.
