Democratic presidential nominee Joe Biden misspoke during a campaign stop in Michigan, incorrectly saying that over 6,000 U.S. military members have died from the novel coronavirus.

Speaking in Warren, Mich., Biden cited the number of confirmed cases and deaths from COVID-19 in Michigan as being the numbers for the military, saying the armed forces had seen 118,984 cases and 6,114 deaths.

Shortly after the event, Biden’s campaign quickly clarified that Biden had mixed up the numbers for Michigan with those from military. As of Wednesday, only seven members of the military had died from COVID-19.

Trump would never screw up like that. He can rattle off trade numbers -Biden can't contextualize in his mind

that's a significant number, and it involves the military and COVID.
Biden's brain is mush -saying the military has 6k deaths shows he is 100% out of touch

As between a well intentioned gaffe machine and a thug, I'll take the gaffe machine. Trumpworld, by the way, is going down a blind alley if you all think Biden has become senile. You probably don't understand the Bidens. The family is not like the Trumps' real life version of the Adams Family. If Biden's wife didn't think he was up to it, she would have stopped him.

Is this thread suppose to be a counter to the fact that Trump got caught playing down the dangers of covid-19 and now an Intelligence whistleblower says he was pressured to downplay threats from Russia, and the white supremacists

It's because you don't recognize Trump's intellectual superstar status. Never mind that he couldn't pass an eighth grade history exam. He makes up for it with such talents as an "instinct for science", he's boasted of possessing.
