The coming race war in America and the importance of Biden / Harris in it

Hey, at least you live a cool part of America with all the awesome trails and nature to enjoy. I was in CT for 20 years and I miss the Appalachian trail. Ever been to the giant open space in Maybrook next to Stewart AFB? It's epic for ATV riding

Yes, the Appalachian trail goes through my town (Pawling)

We have 6 nature preserve hikes on the Appalachian trail here, Cat Rocks, Nuclear Lake, Depot Hill, Pawling Nature Preserve, Corbyn Hill, and the Board Walk over the Great Swamp.

In addition to 2 town parks, Lakeside & Murrow Parks.

As well as the Autobahn Society on the border of Connecticut. (Deer Pond Farm)

We also have a Farmers Market, in Pawling, every Saturday in the warmer months.

Several bar restaurants, and bakery / coffee shops.

I did lots of floor work in Pawling. I was a sub at Kent Floors in Danbury for a few years.
I used to hike n bike in Pawling all the time. I used to ride DH bikes with Frank Wadelton on all of those trails. He had his shop in Brewster and later in Lake Carmel so our daily rides where all over Dutchess and Westchester. I've seen them all. It's an amazing area everywhere in western Conn and NY border.
Don't let the nutty marxist revolutionists destroy your ability to enjoy your homeland

You two should go on a date. Bring each other lotion from Bed, Bath & Beyond. Maybe braid each other's hair.

That is one of the few advantages~disadvantages on the AT compared to the PCT...... Luxury like that are few & far between on most of the PCT....

I love the elevation though.......... I prefer 7,000+ I actually like 10,000+ but no trees & to much sun this time of year......

I grew up in Putnam Lake, right near Brewster & Danbury.

It was definitely a lot rougher around the edges, and had far less to do than Pawling.

Even though, statistically Pawling isn't really any richer than Putnam Lake.

Not to mention, Pawling's a lot friendlier, Putnam Lake really has become a lot less friendly over the years.

Pawling, is usually the favorite town, or one of the favorite towns to stop for people on the AT.

It also has a train station on the AT & in Pawling that goes to NYC.

So, some people doing the AT will party, or spend a night in NYC via Pawling.

Lucky you. I've only seen the north west coast and the east coast. Never had a chance to visit the really big stuff. You should visit even if it's aflame if at all possible. To catch a glimpse before destruction would be priceless. Fire is sad to watch but it's a part of nature and has always had a hand in shaping the planet. Recovery is certain as far as nature goes.

Exactly... The fires were started by dry lightening... Only one of several hundred small fires was set by an asshole..

I will prob go if I can get @ least one person to go....... My friend is holding out & has her stuff ready to go unless they close the park, which is now possible w/ a fire @ the cross roads leading into the park........

We can go, & if it is to bad we can drive back home... Only about three hours away..

I think now would be a great time as they are limiting entrance, even day passes...

The views will be hindered but I saw a pict today from a hiker camping in the same area I plan to camp-first night-North Dome-across the valley from Half-Dome.. & you can clearly see it, & clearly tell there is a fire.... As it has been every time I have gone...........

I did Whitney & their was fires (my sixth hike).. In the AM going up the 97 switchbacks the view was tremendous from the smoke down in the desert valley....

We were pretty badass in 1865 and 1989. At least Dems have 1945 to their credit.

1989?
Carter - Brzezinski engineered the Afghan-Soviet war, Reagan just increased the policy.

So, to say 1989, the fall of the Berlin wall, was just (Reagan) ONLY, is kind of absurd.

I do & I will be pointing it out as often as I see the need..........

I believe trump won't leave like a man & I am going to say it, if you like it or not............ It is my opinion, your undying devotion to trump is yours.....

If I don't bash biden enough for you, to bad for you-no one is stopping you from doing so...........

You can make yourself feel better by believing hillary this or that, it does nothing for me........ Just goes to show how desperate you have already become........ I never supported anything hillary-EVER...........
thing is you sound like Hillary with "he's not going to leave" and the Russian junk noise. I realize you dont support her -but you've mimicked her in that manner.

Thnig is I don't need to criticize Trump.
1/2 this board is full blown TDS and they criticize and make up stuff or widly spin.

But they are partisan and I am conservative (compared to LW Dems) -but not partisan
( Repubs are worthless as well as Dems)

I don't pretend to be unbiased -unlike yourself.
Nor am I the one who brought out the adhoms -you started that with references to CR. and complaining I dont criticize Trump -while never criticizing biden

we're done. This is my last word.
I see no point in getting into this again with you,and if you don't want to,then stop the adhoms.

There is plenty to talk about without the personal attacks. I know you are beter then that

I said it long before she did... I am an original..........

I don't pretend nor have I ever said I am unbiased...... Since I never said it, nor do I believe it, I would appreciate you not criticizing me for it......... I have enough faults you can work w/, no need to make shit up............

Perhaps you can show me anyone here that has criticized him more than I?? I would imagine there are some RW that may have, but not other than that.......

Currently he is not my problem, trump is....... As I told you earlier, when he is elected his turn will come & I will hold him accountable as I did bush, Obama & trump.........

SPeaking of accountable, that is what I would like to see, not just you but all supporters of trump, to merely hold him accountable-you are not....... That isn't even fair to him........

I dunno what you meant by your last word, it seems it was cut off......

You are old enough to know two wrongs don't make a right. So am I. Again, try to go deeper than skin-deep on "why" we have a problem with our inner cities.

It's the same problem as when the Irish and the Italians were living in the ghettos. Gang violence didn't originate with the Civil Rights Act. There's a history to it and, regardless of the technology, the causes are often the same: economic opportunities.

Actually it has to do with fatherless households, thanks to the welfare legislation passed in 1965 that destroyed the black family structure.

Jamaica doesn't have welfare, like here, and also has sky high out of wedlock births, and a very high murder rate.

As opposed to Iceland, which does have sky high out of wedlock births, and a very low murder rate.

Brzezinski told the Soviets to invade Afghanistan? Perhaps he should have told his boss, who was completely caught by surprise. The Dems stopped helping fight the Cold War after 1970.
