Hello Phantasmal,

Nearly 30 years ago, Graydon Carter, the editor of Vanity Fair magazine, described Trump in Spy magazine as a “short-fingered vulgarian.”...

To this day, I receive the occasional envelope from Trump. There is always a photo of him—generally a tear sheet from a magazine. On all of them he has circled his hand in gold Sharpie in a valiant effort to highlight the length of his fingers," Carter wrote. "I almost feel sorry for the poor fellow because, to me, the fingers still look abnormally stubby."

No, I can’t imagine Trump not holding a grudge.

He's got a chip on his shoulder the size of an anvil.

Hello Dutch Uncle,

A democracy is a funny thing. How to craft a self-government that is not strictly majority rule like ancient Athens. I don't know if we have it right or not. We can't think of anything better so we have to make the best of what we have.

It's a Constitutional Republic, not a Democracy, fool.

30 years, that’s a long time to hold a grudge on such a petty thing, but Obama insulted him in 2011 and since elected he’s tried to undo Obama’s legacy. He’s very childish.

Hello Dutch Uncle,

Correct, which is why we have a Republic. Pure democracies with a high population of fucking morons is pretty dicy.

I strongly support people being able to live their lives as they please. The only line is "don't harm anyone else". The main purpose of government is to resolve disputes between citizens. Example: my right to have a lumber mill on my property vs. your right to not have the drinking water polluted by my mill. There's also the collective defense against aggressors and foreign trade agreements for the benefit of all plus many others, but the main one is to resolve disputes.

IMO, both the Declaration of Independence and Constitution Preamble state this to be true.

Why should I let 5 million city lovers dictate gun laws to me in rural Texas? What harm am I doing in enjoying gun collecting and sport shooting, even if it's with a fucking howitzer? Anyone who bans something for an individual's own good is just someone on the path to a totalitarian society. I strongly oppose such people.

Hello Dutch Uncle,

So true, which is why the hard right is so fooling themselves when they talk about polls. The polls were right. They showed Hillary with only a slight advantage by election day 2016. The gap had been narrowed drastically after Comey's bombshell. She did still carry the popular vote. DT barely squeaked by in the electoral count.

Barely squeaked by? What the fuck are you talking about? Perhaps a remedial course in fifth grade civics is in order.

Hello christiefan915,

I don't think they could be more triggered if Biden had chosen AOC. (too bad she won't be old enough till 2024)

The reason I think it's funny is that repubs have been saying for months that trump's going to win in a landslide, so if they're that positive why spare even a moment on who Biden picked for VP?

Are you suggesting Trump* is consistent?

I read Bolton's book and it was not a hit job on trump; he practically treated trump with kid gloves and never resorted to name calling and other smears. Yet Bolton said that every single decision trump considers or makes is based on his image... how he's going to look to the public... and his campaign for reelection.

I didn't like Bolton before, during or after reading the book but he repeated those comments enough to convince me he wasn't lying.
