China is an enemy of the US while RUSSIA is nowhere near the threat it was during the COLD WAR....in fact RUSSIA is engaged in selling energy to western European Nations like Germany.....Germany is paying RUSSIA for energy while THE US TAXPAYER pays to maintain a standing military presence to protect Germany from a nation they are purchasing energy from.
