As for Sarah, unless she does some serious reading, she won't get the R nomination either. She'd be outclassed at debates with other Rs during the Primary. If you listen to the fake "Sarkozy" call you'd realize that she has some serious lapses in knowledge that need to be filled before she can take a serious run at it.

They were getting a hard time from the press, and righties like kristol for “not letting sarah be sarah, let her do interviews” They leaked off the record, “look, she’s got no knowledge base”. You guys ignored, you didn’t want to know about it.
And in doing so you allowed this dangerous moron to come close to being within one heart beat away. It’s frightening to me. Country first? Yeah, right.
I just want to point out one other thing – again this part not so much damo, if I’m not mistaken. But look at cawacko defending her walking straight out of a shower, and parading her wet ass in front of two high level campaign guys. As if, this is no thing. This is the common denominator you guys are appealing to. As if in any world, that would be OK. That kind of bimboish behavior showed itself during the prank call, when she had no clue that the French president would not speak to her in that personal of a matter. She had been encouraged by people like William kristol, who met her one year ago when he took an Alaskan cruise and developed such a crush on her that it has been a joke in the blogosphere for the past year, long before she was ever tapped, that he was making a jackass out of himself every day on fox over this woman. Then she parades herself in what is, as any woman knows, a very sexual situation, (I know what happens when I walk around in front of my bf like that, which is why, I ONLY walk around in front of him like that) in front of senior campaign people. So of course, after being encouraged with this kind of ridiculous behavior, she believed it was perfectly normal that the president of france would ring her up to flirt with her.

It has nothing to do with "good looking and going to use it". It has everything to do with they knocked and she answered the door. She covered herself, told them it will be a minute then went to finish getting ready.
Just an FYI, it is relatively normal to see that happen here. They'll open the door tell you that they'll be ready in a bit, usually offer you something then go finish getting ready.
I think this is more of a cultural thing than it is some sort of mythical use of her sex appeal.

No, I understand she was unqualified. Experience can be rectified, so can knowledge. Given time I think she might be capable of giving some people a run for their money. All that being said, I never feared she would be VP, I didn't think McCain could win, ever.
However using somebody coming to the door to tell people that it will be a minute when they knock as some example of that is baffling.
I'm not saying whether it's a big deal to me or not, but I'm sure as shit some guy in Colorado doesn't have sufficient authority to state whether professional women west of the Mississippi would be bothered by Bible Spice parading around fresh out of the showing in her towel with male business associates.

It must be quite galling for all those old Soviet apparatchiks, who used to wander the halls of the Kremlin during the era of the cold war, to realise that, instead of spending billions on developing the next generation of ICBM's, they could have destroyed America simply by firing folksy beauty queens across the Bering Strait using giant cannons.
Again. I already professed my opinion of this. I hope that the party doesn't decide that it was because they weren't nuttacular enough in their religious stances to win this time and go in that direction. I, for one, am going to spend my time working against that inanity and towards a religiously neutral party that respects individual liberty, what I believe the R party was founded on.
That doesn't change that I understand that somebody who can do that well as speeches and "connecting to Joe Sixpack" couldn't be formidable if she studied up a bit and got some of the knowledge that she is lacking currently.
