Based on available information. It is too early to determine mortality rate. Remember when you thought it was 3-4% mortality rate just a week ago? In a weeks time it has come 75%

Isn't that encouraging to you?

sounds like an excellent plan.......why be tested if you have no symptoms, haven't been exposed.......and what are you doing in the hospital if you have no symptoms?.......

We are being quarantined at home for 2 weeks. The doctor wanted the Heath department to pick up our swabs to test for covid-19 but the non-medical person we spoke with said no. She told us and the doctor that if one of us gets sick enough to be admitted that they will reevaluate but that we don't meet the Florida testing criteria. We do meet the CDC guidelines but Florida isn't following the direction of the CDC.

LabCorp and Quest have a test but it's not the same test. It's not the covid-19 test. Even a negative on that test doesn't rule out covid-19.

Florida only has 140 negative tests on file at this point. Let that sink in for a minute. Florida is telling doctors that they can't test patients. They don't want to know that it's in the community I guess? So they just won't pick up swabs when doctors are begging for the tests to be run.

My kids are sick. I'm sick. I'm over a week into steroids and antibiotics and I'm not getting better. We have known contact with international travelers.

They won't test us. The doctor wanted to test us. Pence lied.

Ada Jack is in congestive heart failure but they won't test her until she is sick enough to be admitted to the hospital.

I have Myasthenia Gravis. I'm a high risk patient and I'm really sick with a bilateral lower respiratory infection. The woman who said I couldn't be tested didn't know what MG was. She asked me to spell it and said "I'm sorry but I'm not a nurse or a doctor or anything" and she got to decide the doctor was wrong and we shouldn't be tested.

I'm not saying we do or don't have covid-19. What I am saying is that it's unacceptable that a doctor can't compel the state to test us. It's frightening.

How many other doctors can't test patients? How many?

This is both frightening and alarming. BTW, wasn't this the sort of thing that we were threatened with if we implemented a national health care plan -- govt. bureaucrats making life and death decisions instead of physicians???

COVID-19 is going to expose all the flaws with our fragmented and shitty health care system. This story is just the tip of the iceberg.
