At Least 1 Dead in Shooting at Texas Church

This church was fortunate to have actual Police officers as members to provide security, and it paid off- and maybe even saved one or more lives- WE JUST DON'T KNOW!

It would be nice to know how this mentally challenge homeless person acquired a gun.

To me, that is more of a concern than arming all the fucking choir boys and deacons with guns!

The shooter shot and killed two people. Many shotguns hold one in the chamber and 6 in the tube feed. We know the shooter shot two rounds I have not seen whether he had additional rounds in the shotgun.

Thanks! My Franchi is plugged, but it could hold one in the chamber and 5 more in the sleeve as you said.

I have been a deacon and I can assure you that I could competently engage a shooter with lethal force but I shoot 200 to 400 rounds a month at a range.. I shoot with my son who is on the North Tarrant County SWAT team. I CC regularly. I admit that you wouldn't want someone that does not practice the skill of shooting.

I have and old Savage 3 shot bolt action that I have had over 50 years I just keep it for nostalgia. I also have a side by side double barrel 20ga that I use for quail and dove and a Citori over under 12ga I shoot skeet and trap and ducks with. I also have a Pump Mossberg 88 for home defense. The pump will hold 6 shells.

I did propose something in that very post that would solve that issue -- public mental healthcare facilities and funding.
