JPP liberals and liberals in general actually believe that removing firearms is going to lower the suicide rate.

I guess car exhaust, ropes, pills, poison, high rise buildings, razor blades, and such, will also be prohibited.

Ultimately, laws didn't make the difference. Culture did. We have a more violent culture now, and we don't properly handle mental health. In the 50s and 60s, we committed a lot more people to institutions, so it kept homeless numbers down and it kept most unstable people out of open society.

Bring back better public mental healthcare facilities and funding, and you'll see shootings and homelessness go down.

Not only do we have more mass shootings, we have the highest gun death rate in the civilized world. Year in and year out.

Try to figure out why that is and propose something that can reduce that rate. That is, unless you're satisfied with being #1 in that category.

The Christ even instructed his disciples to sell their garments and purchase a weapon when He commissioned them to travel into dangerous lands occupied by thieves and murderers -- Luke 10:30, Luke 22:35-36

It was a CHURCH OF CHRIST where this threat was dealt with in a scriptural manner.:bigthink:

I used to think that there was a compromise on gun control.

But after Conservatives' last decade of putting guns over people, I no longer think that is the case.

Now, I think all guns should be banned for civilian and law enforcement purposes.

Society can't seem to be responsible enough to allow gun ownership.

Take suicides out and Black Gang Bang killings and the rate would be low
