Let's put this into perspective.

If it was suspected that Democrats tried to rig an election, would you want to let that election proceed while lawyers argue about whether or not first-hand witnesses to the alleged election-rigging should testify?

Certainly any logical mind can understand why that is a non-starter.

It is already essentially proven. I can't even imagine any defense Trump could present which would change the conclusion of guilt by anyone who objectively considers all the details. (Most do not. How many watched all the of the House hearings? .01%?)

Trump had every opportunity to have his own witnesses and lawyers present; he declined the option; that does not bode well. Logically, if he had a miraculous defense he would have presented it when he had the chance. This leads to an appearance of guilt. Denial is not a defense.

Trump is the President. He is the one who is supposed to talk to the people, tell them what is going on. Explain things for the populace. Why does he blow off all this evidence with moronic tweets? Why does he not address each point and show why each does not contribute to the appearance of guilt? Reagan and Clinton BOTH apologized for their wrong actions, asked Americans for forgiveness. Trump is passing BS by not owning up to this thing, pretending it was OK.

It was NOT OK.
