Conservatives think parts of the Constitution are "fake"

They actually hate the Constitution, which is why they tried to create their own country with their own Constitution in the 1860's.

They lost.

The only part of it they really, truly 100% support, is their beloved 2nd Amendment.

They worship that.

After that, its all just a bunch of words scrawled on a piece of parchment.

What's "fake" is the particular leftist interpretation of the Constitution at issue.

Whether it is the emoluments clause or the commerce clause or the general welfare clause or their ignoring that the Constitution establishes a republic, not a democracy (and what that both demands and excludes) and of course, the 2nd Amendment, one can be sure that whatever conclusion a leftist comes to about the US Constitution, it is a misrepresentation and an outright attempt to twist the Constitution into doing what it expressly forbids.

Liberals, by their very nature find any constitution an anathema to their fluid, evolving "values", thus it must be stomped out, violated, dismissed and discarded.

And they bastardized that amendment to include weapons of war to shoot the most people in the fastest time possible. Why not just arm the people with their own personal rocket launchers? Yeah, I'm SURE that's what the 2nd amendment writers had in mind. NOT TO MENTION that pesky, "A well regulated militia." Not to mention it comes FIRST. The loons ALWAYS leave that part off.

ALWAYS, ALWAYS ALWAYS!

yup and they twisted that amendment to fit their violent narrative.

It is legal to own rocket launchers. I have some stored away in my home right now.
The States have the right to self defense. They use militias for that.
The people have the right to self defense. They use their own weapons for that.

Both rights are inherent. They do not come from a piece of paper. What the piece of paper does is clearly tell the government HANDS OFF! The 2nd amendment does not grant any right. It simply clarifies a limit upon the federal government that was already there. It also places a binding law upon the States.

They love the Constitution when they can try to use it in order to attack any Democrat in the White House.

Otherwise, it's no different than most bible thumpers and the bible.

They cherry pick the segments that they like, and ignore the rest.

I knew it was only a matter of time before Conservatives came out against the Constitution. I mean, y'all already did that once before...history tends to repeat itself.

Got to say that pretty much puts it all into focus

Nobody is questioning right to defend yourself, rather the means you employ to do such, and I'd have to add others "inherent right" to attend anything in public without getting shot is a more applicable common denominator

What a DUMBFUCK; it was REPUBLICANS who KEPT THE NATION TOGETHER, IDIOT.

The 2nd does not allow or prohibit those weapons, that is the function of state and federal legislation. They are restricted or prohibited in some states.

No, that would be YOU that picks and chooses. Inversion fallacy. Projecting your own problems on conservatives doesn't work anymore.
