The displaced Bahamians need a Place.
Having FEMA 'Tent Cities'*where thousands can live for the next year. Is that a Good Idea?

Those islands that were devastated by the hurricane are 85% dependent on the travel industry, which won't be back there for a decade.

So, they have no income, and most of them lost their homes and everything else they owned to.

I believe they should be allowed to come here and go through the naturalization process and be provided cheap housing until they can get a job and get back on their feet.

These people are not lazy, they work hard, and just need a new beginning. And they are some of our closest neighbors.

It probably would be. I'm not sure the Bahamians are up to the task.
Like in Katrina, the population must be moved out of the affected area so the infrastructure can be rebuilt.
Mom's and Children would just be in the way, as would the Elderly and the Sick.

Course, after seeing the way the Trump Boys handle things at the Border, these 'Temporary Facilities' could turn into a real Clusterfuck.

no we are not the dumping ground for poor and dispossessed. Canada or Great Britain is a better fit

S. Florida is full of refugees from Cuba, Haiti, Jamaica, the DR and Venezuela. try to keep up

It will take more then one year, need to build more permanent housing for the women and children while the men commute weekly or on rotation
 
As far as a I am concerned they are more than welcome in Florida. I have many good friends in the Bahamas, and I can tell you they do not want to move here. They will survive and better than you think.

They will need help for sure.

I have a house rented for June, in Green Turtle Cay and plan on going as long as it is still standing.

Some of the best people I have ever met.

Geez, ... you might as well fire up the ovens and send them straight to Auschwitz. According to the Democrat party, that would be more humane than a Southern State in the most racist, bigoted country ever run by a combo Hitler Russian spy. :palm:
