My two cents:
In the pantheon of 60's bands, in live performance The Who blew the doors off all the competition - Stones, Beatles, Doors, Dylan, Hendrix, Joplin, Dead, et al. These dudes actually cranked their amps to the max, and I consider the 1960s vintage Who a tightly controlled audio assault on the senses.

IMHO that is a great song, & great concert, to bad they held off on it for so long.......
