Immigrants being detained until their requests for asylum or refugee status is determined is hardly the same as Jewish exterminations or slavery. Congress just voted $4 billion to build additional detention facilities to reduce the crowding and current conditions.

Those who want to follow any Biblical mandates are free to take them clothing, food, or anything else they think they need.

I agree, and on the other side of the coin, I believe the self-proclaimed Christians who lurk obscure message boards and who indulge in cursing, hate speech, bigotry, xenophobia, and affinity for war and violence are not representative of world Christianity at large.

These type of phony message board Christians may worship at the Church of Trump, but there are completely unlike most of the Christians I know in real life. In fact, my observation is that the more one wears their religion on their sleeve, the more they loudly proclaim it to strangers on a message board, the more likely it is they are phony Christians.

there is an outright hostility from many on the left to religion - and Xtians in particular.
And I don't mean on obscure messageboards but expressed in lawsuits like the one we just had with that Big Cross.
It was 80 years old an a remembrance - and the leftists still couldn't accept it being there.

There are more examples, but religious intolerance exists -especially from the left on Xtians

Most of the time, Christians do not need "defending" in this country. There are plenty of people willing to defend them, and the whole system, culture, and political infrastructure of this country has been set up to shield Christianity.

On the other hand, I think Trump boot-lickers conveniently ignore when one of us does stand up for Christianity.

There are relatively less people willing, when appropriate, to defend Muslims, minorities, Sikhs, Wiccans, Jews (the religious tradition, not the nation of Israel) and other under-represented minorities. And I think that is one thing the liberal tradition generally excels at.

I am not going to compare asylum-seeker detainment centers to GULAG forced labor camps.

But there is a long public record on this board and in the broader wingnutosphere, where Trump-boot lickers have gone out of their way to dehumanize these asylum seekers.

I would say there are about two billion posts on this board from conservatives making reference to "invasions of brown people" from the south. Calling them "illegal aliens". Dehumanizing them and painting them in the worst possible light at every chance.

And you know what that is remarkably similar to? That's right - it is similar to the rhetoric, the language, the dehumanization tactics of Nazi-supporters of the 1930s.

I have seen posts about illegals invading our country from the south.

If they are green it’s still an illegal invasion of illegals and supported by the radical Democrat Socialists in Congress and the loons on these forums.

I could agree with you if it weren't for a few things that just can't be scientifically explained or disproved and then there are the miracles. That just can't be dismissed by luck or fate. And the way I see it I lose nothing believing in God.
