A New York man who pleaded guilty to raping a 14-year-old girl will serve no time in prison.
Shane M. Piche, who served as a Watertown City School District bus driver, was sentenced to probation, according to the Watertown Daily Times.
The district attorney's office had called for Piche to receive Level 2 sex offender designation. But the judge said that Piche had no prior arrests and there was only one victim involved.
Piche met the victim through his job as a school driver and that the incident occurred at his home.
Piche's attorney, Eric T. Swartz, told the Watertown Daily Times that Piche "stopped working for the school district" following "the incident".
