Pelosi responds to Trump, says she won’t allow State of the Union during shutdown

House Speaker Nancy Pelosi signaled to President Trump in a letter Wednesday that she will not allow him to deliver next week’s scheduled State of the Union address from the House floor.

“I am writing to inform you that the House of Representatives will not consider a concurrent resolution authorizing the president’s State of the Union address in the House Chamber until government has opened,” Pelosi wrote in the letter to Trump.

Whether the speech takes place in the House chamber remains Pelosi’s call, as the House and Senate must approve a concurrent resolution approving the use of the chamber for the State of the Union.

calling out Pelosi for her intransigent, petty, inability to negotiate is for the "good"
She's the one keeping the shutdown going -not Trump who has been trying to negotiate.

All that aside....politics isn't really "good or bad" unless it violates the 8 fold noble path.
It's opinion.

Doesn’t POTUS have authority under the COTUS to call a joint session of Congress?

If so, Pelosi can’t win her little pissing contest. And could it be any more apparent that Pelosi is engaging in the lowest form of hackery?
 
Trump is going to give a SOTU speech, period

the only question is will his opening statement be to explain why he has to be where he is, that politics got the better of Nancy and Chucks judgement as they decide to try and deny our President to speak to the people

that is all

Trump set the trap, and Nancy stepped in
And personally it will be so much more informative without the optics and constant standing sitting standing sitting protocol,
clapping, not clapping, miserable mug face on the democrats optics, etc
