God as I understand him is a kind and forgiving God. I dont think He would make some one homosexual then punish them for it. Besides, that's above my paygrade.

The best guess that can be made about this issue is that the ancient Hebrews invented a god and put their mores and sensibilities into the mouth of that god. For them, homosexuality was an abomination...and of course their "god" was going to consider it to be an abomination.

It appears as though almost all of the animosity toward homosexuality comes directly from the initial passage in Leviticus. Homosexuality was tolerated by lots of cultures (not all)...but the supposed dictates of the god of Abraham did, and continues to do, the damage.
