No one said that? Maybe you didn't say that, but evince says dogs are more effective against armed intruders than guns. Are you seriously claiming there aren't plenty of libs who want to outlaw guns?

Revolvers are pretty good. A problem with automatic handguns is that if you don't get a good grip on the gun, it is likely to jam. Some Glocks are notorious for that. Shooters say "i shot this 9 mm baby 3000 times at the range and only had 2 jams." But in a fire fight they will panic and may not get a proper grip and then the gun won't cycle correctly .

Revolvers don't misfire.

Revolvers don't hold enough rounds. Problems with jamming can be mitigated with proper training and quality ammo. Like I said, professional defenders rarely use revolvers. There's a reason for that.
