Gay marriage ruins it for the rest of us

The Bible never says the earth or the world were flooded.. It says eretz.. meaning land.. Compare it to the use of eretz elsewhere as in there was famine in the "land"..

The story of the flood was borrowed from the Babylonians and existed long before the Hebrews of Genesis and Exodus... and is recorded in Dilmun and Mesopotamia a thousand years earlier.

Further, there are NO mountains in the Euphrates River Basin.. Its pretty flat.. Exaggeration makes for great epic myths.

So we agree that the flood did happen.

So we agree that the flood did happen.

The Euphrates River did flood from time to time.. not every year. Snow melt from the mountains combined with spring rains caused the flooding. That's what built the delta south of Basra.

But, there was NO worldwide flood.

What part of the world of most people who lived 2000 yrs ago was measured in miles not thousands of mile's can't you understand? Sorry sport but to people who most likely had never been more than a mile or so from where they were born. A large flood to them would be seen as worldwide.

Exactly.. and the flood footprint was 150 miles wide and 350 miles south towards the Persian Gulf.. at least according to geologists who have studied the flood footprint.

So what the fuck have you been arguing? You admited what I have been saying all along.

I don’t know or care about the issuance of licenses. At one point, they required blood tests for them.

Superfluous issue.

1. I think you are right about being tested for a venereal disease.
2. Remember the religious woman that refused to issue a gay couple a marriage license? One government bureaucrat refusing a couple a 'license'. Let's say (and I know this is crazy and far fetched) that Trump installs right-wing Supreme Court Justices that reverse 'gay marriage' or turn it over to the States to decide.

Why have a Government Bureaucrat decide who can get married because people are forced to get a 'License'?
My position is to get the State out of the 'Licensing' business.

I know I'm a little late for this, but MY hypothesis is:

"Black Sea deluge hypothesis
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Map of the Black Sea
The Black Sea deluge is a hypothesized catastrophic rise in the level of the Black Sea circa 5600 BCE from waters from the Mediterranean Sea breaching a sill in the Bosphorus strait. The hypothesis was headlined when The New York Times published it in December 1996.[1] It was later published in an academic journal in April 1997.[2] While it is agreed that the sequence of events described by the hypothesis occurred, there is significant debate over the suddenness, dating and magnitude of the events. Over geological eras, water has flowed in and out of the Black Sea basin. This hypothesis concerns the occurrence of the last inflow and the primary point of controversy is whether the event was gradual or catastrophic.[3]"

Yes, I know YOU, your pal Yaya, and, unfortunately, domer76, ALL want Big Government, more Government to control the everyday lives of people. (It's sad in a way) :(

I'm a Socialist ,I believe the Government has a responsibility to the citizens to make sure, they have a place to live, basic healthcare, and food.
The citizens have a responsibility to do their part to have a safe productive society

Swell. We still don't need a fucking bureaucrat sitting around an Office all day handing out 'Licenses' so people can get married. People should be able to get married, ... period.

If two atheists want to get married under your POV,Jack.
Where would they get married?

So what would 'getting married' entail?

They could go to a Justice of the Peace. I think the current Law states you have to have "a Ceremony". But ... with the new definition of Marriage as "Partners with a Personal Relationship", you could probably simplify it and get some standard 'Contract' at Office Depot or something on-line?

4 rivers are named, only 2 do we know now,be nice if we knew what the other two are.

One may have been identified by satellite as dry wadi.. You might look up Dilmun or Telmun.. centered at Bahrain which has many, many freshwater springs.. The Dilmun civilization dates to the late 4th milleninum BC.

Doesn't the Justice of the Peace work for the Government that you want out of marriage?
