What's Behind the Continuing Rumor that bin Laden Is Either Dead or near Death?

LOL, I am likely to need antiviagra, guess I am just in the minority there as well too ;) Excited equipment is a weakness that causes a lot of trouble for us guys;)

Prakosh .. you are one paranoid whack job ....

Olberman called him a coward so this must be the "new rhetoric" lets all parrott Olberman..because he is so brave.

Cypress doesnt like Chris Matthews because Chris Matthews leans too moderate and doesnt follow the extreme left whacko lock step ways of the Democratic Party's hysterical wing. Matthews is a Classic Old Hat Liberal.. and he will call out the whacko's when he sees them. That just rankles the feathers of the Party Light Weights... you know the wing of the party that'll screw up another election with the smoking gun lock step mantra of the week.

Mathews voted for Bush in 2000. He's not a "classic" liberal. At best, he's a reagan democrat, or a moderate independent.

And I've never said I hated Mathews. I like him. I'll call him on bullshit, when I feel like it.

Klaatu, I don't like any of the sensationalist news commontaters. No matter which side they are on. Just the facts only the facts. I don't need an outrage cheerleader.

You are really misinformed .. Matthews worked for Tip Oneil and Jimmy Carter... and as far as voting for Bush... I dont know... did he tell you this?

good for you ... I just like to point out that Olberman is just the flip side of Oreilly .. what makes him any better?

I actually like Chris Matthews..., Scarborough and the dweeb.. Tucker...

I prefer MSNBC over Fox ... at the very least it will make me challange my own extremes.

He worked for Democrats in the 1970s.

People change, you know that right?

He admitted to voting for Bush in 2000. And hardly anybody on cable went after clinton and gore as much as Mathews in the late 90s.

Please drop the "classic liberal" canard.

And btw, have you gone back and visted the thread where you said a whole host of liberals posted and inflamed racial hatred - when in fact, a cursory reading of the thread showed your assertion was false?

I didnt hear or read where he admits to voting for Bush. Perhaps you can point us to a link where it says that. The fact is he worked for Tip and Carter... this speaks volumes ...especially following what you said when you called him a Reagan Democrat.

Classic Liberal? = FYI ... http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Classical_liberalism

And btwy .. are you on a guilt trip for participating in that thread? Tolerating racism...when it suits your liberal cause? what a hack you are ...

You're "christian" values are showing klattue.

I apologized for one tasteless joke, which I clearly labeled as sarcasm.

You have yet to apologize to the liberals on the board, who you accused of being in "lockstep" and inflaming racism on the thread. A quick review of the thread shows that your outrageous claim was false.

As recently as the May 27 edition of Hardball, Matthews responded to documentary filmmaker Alexandra Pelosi's suggestion that members of the media -- including Matthews -- have portrayed President Bush as a "dunce" by asserting that he has voted for Bush "at least once" and that he has "defended [Bush] against the liberal elitists":

MATTHEWS: I make this president look like -- you don't watch this program, Alexandra. That has never been the case with me. And anybody watching knows right now, we treat this guy [Bush] with respect. I happen to like him. I voted for him at least once. I'm not going to go any further on that. But the idea that we treat him like a dunce is just inaccurate.

[...]

MATTHEWS: Just to straighten the record out, Alexandra, back in the 2000 race, I was one of the few journalists that pointed out that George W. Bush did extremely well in those debates against Al Gore. In fact, I said he won in terms of personality, in terms of likability and fairness and on other grounds. I was the one who took a lot of heat for taking that position.

From the beginning, I've defended him on issues like saying Jesus Christ is his personal philosopher. I've defended him against the liberal elitists who did put him down. So, I don't think it's fair to say that I have in any way abused him. Do you want to take that back or do you want to start over or what here?

Matthews previously admitted that he "voted for Bush" in the 2000 election on the October 3, 2003, and February 23, 2004, editions of Hardball.

You know what Cypress.. Im really tired of this kind of bullshit spewing from your mouth and others, questioning anothers faith ... you really like to talk tough behind a keyboard... sorry .. I'll stay above that ...

And you talk about apologies... after that low class statement I think you better reevaluate yourself....

Yeah I already read that report from that "non-partsan" source... So he said that he at least voted for Bush once.. which means he voted against Al Gore...

So considering that he was all over Bush for going into Iraq... Im sure he voted against him and for Kerry in 2004 .. does that make him a Kerry Democrat or a Bush Democrat?

Cypress.. the guy is a life long Democrat and to attempt to paint him otherwise is foolish on your part.

Klaatu

Keith is no different than Bill.... other than I believe that Olbermann is telling the truth in his editorials more than oreily ever told the truth! ;)

But it is definately news being delivered on a liberal liking....when it comes to olbermann....so yes, outside of what I believe is to be the truth with olbermann vs bill, there is no difference between the two shows.... one is strictly directed at the left audience the other toward's the "right" audience imo.

LOL

Notice how you changed your argument and moved the goal posts from "classic liberaL" to "lifelong Democrat". LOL

Lincoln Chaffe is a "lifelong republican", but I would hardly characterize him as a "classic conservative".

Face it: Mathews is an independent-thinking, centrist. His party registrations is probably still Democrat. Yet, He voted for bush, and implies he's vorted republican more than once.

Face it, you were wrong in calling him a "classic liberal".

And being against Bush's War in iraq is hardly evidence of being a "classic liberal"

Pat Buchanon and Tucker Carlson are against Bush's War too.

You were the one that went out of your way to post and angry thread claiming that liberals were in "lock step" in fanning the flames of racism on the Barak Obama thread. Let me ask you this: did you even read the thread, and find out that virtually all the liberals on the thread said that Bush wasn't being racist?
