CNBC correspondent muses on Trump's mental health: 'He did not look well to me'

Hello Superfreak,

How many who had no interest in bias toward Mr Trump have been ALLOWED TO? ... ZERO.

Again... NO professional would attempt to diagnose someone they had not evaluated. Sorry the President of the United States doesn't allow anyone who wants to examine him to do so. How troubling indeed.

Never said they were I was simply pointing out your description was faulty also as you now admit no two people are the same. But the original argument of Bowel not taking an active roll in her MIL still stands. She claims to be a nurse so that would have added credence to her diagnosis. But you try to cover for her no matter what when it's clear you are applying a double standard which is why I have lost respect for your opinions.
I always maintained no two people were the same. It is you who claimed otherwise. I am sure Owl is not bothered by your opinions, and neither am I, in fact, I wear it as a badge. I obviously affect you enough you have to keep mentioning it. :)

Yes, I have had two Aunts and my best friend’s mother and their symptoms appeared slowly. There are 7 stages of the disease, in some cases they come on quickly, in other cases the progression is slow. I have read extensively on the subject when my Aunt was diagnosed and took a class with my friend when her mother was diagnosed. I am no expert, but I do know the disease affects people differently. My Aunt was hostile, agitated. My friends mother is very sweet and childlike. Your one size fits all is incorrect, your fathers symptoms may have been sudden and obvious, but that isn’t the case with everyone.

The above is correct. My grandmother went through it over the course of ten years, slowly regressing backwards in time if you will (she thought it was the 80's, then 70's etc...). One of my clients went over the cliff quickly within six months on a mental basis... reverted to a childlike manner. We simply do not comprehend the workings of the brain enough to try to lump all cases together. So many different things can go wrong and each individual may progress down a wide variety of paths.

Very true. In my Mother-in-Law's case, the onset was very gradual. As I indicated in my original post, when at home she was functional and only occasionally had small lapses of forgetfulness. A few years after our trip, she went to live for a while with the son who lived the closest and did very poorly there because the environment was not familiar. She did not have Alzheimers dementia; she had Lewy Body Dementia which tends to present more as a psychosis with hallucinations, violent outbursts, and severe agitation. We all made a group decision to find her nursing home care because she was so miserable plus she wandered away from their home twice. I had a couple of residents in my care with LBD; medical and personal management is quite different than it is with the more common AD. Maybe your aunt also had LBD?
Yes, she did. My friend’s mother does not, nor did my other Aunt. It makes quite a difference in care.

He knows her far more than you, he may well be telling the unvarnished truth about your ersatz Darla.

No my dear you are the one who took Bowels word as gospel and never said a word about people reacting differently, but then you do suffer from selective memory. As to my opinion I simply mention it because stupidity offends me and when people act out like you when called on it causes me great pleasure.

Oh I'm still waiting for you to thank me and all vets for our service. :rofl2::rofl2::rofl2::rofl2::rofl2::rofl2::rofl2:

Well, I can understand why he would not want to settle all the rumors - if he is not sure he would get the result he hopes for.

Hello Superfreak,

Who gives a fuck about what armchair 'psychologists' say? The President, regardless of party, is not going to drop everything and be evaluated every time some twit makes a claim about their health. It just isn't going to happen.

Again... do you think any professional is going to diagnose someone they haven't evaluated? Yes or No?

I thanked you when you first mentioned your service, how quickly you forget?

Hello Superfreak,

How were they [Ronald and Nancy Reagan] lousy parents?

Because they did not support their son in what he wanted to do with his life.

He became a (rather good) ballet dancer, but his parents never went to a single performance.

That alone is enough to earn them the 'lousy parents' label.

I believe there may be a far simpler explanation of why you discount the words of the son of Ronald Reagan. He is liberal and an atheist.

If you did I missed it, I can't forget somethin I don't see. And I don't look at your every post like you do mine. Please post the link.
No, I’m not going to go back and wade through months of posts, you either believe me or you don’t.

This implies everyone is the same, as does your statement that you took care of your father and Owl should have taken care of her mother in law.

My responses to you imply that everyone’s different.

You do know you aren't Bowel Woman's mommy! But she is a coward and prefers to have fools fight for her. Have you ever been around a person with dementia? At what point does age effect memory 60, 70, 80, 90? No if you have ever been around someone close you recognize the onset rather quickly. But then like Bowel you are an expert on the subject so I am preaching to the choir.

Owl was trained in nursing dementia patients so yes, her opinion trumps yours.

LMAO... you are simply making shit up now. I am agnostic and do not care if he is atheist or not. But you might want to get your 'facts' straight before you spew forth more nonsense. Ron Jr. took up ballet as an ADULT. Not a child. His parents were upset that he dropped out of school to do it. But they did attend his performance. His father was quoted after the performance saying Ron Jr. danced like Astaire. His brother Michael stated Ron Jr. could get away with anything growing up, that he could do no wrong in his parents eyes.

LBD, that's really horrible. We all know more about it after Robin Williams' suicide.

LMAO... and how many of them actually evaluated Trump personally?

We both know the answer... ZERO. Which shows they are not actually professionals. No professional would attempt to diagnose a person they had never evaluated.

Tell it to your friends on the right who've been diagnosing Hillary for 25+ years.

How were they lousy parents?

"Nancy Reagan was famously known as a devoted wife, fiercely protective and supportive of her husband’s acting, then political and finally presidential career. It seems genuinely to have been a marriage for the history books: loving, enduring, fully mutual. The fallout from such a single-minded love affair is also in evidence: children who were shut out and hurt.

Ronald Reagan’s remoteness from his children, as well as others, was commented upon by colleagues. Nancy’s harshness with Patti and Maureen have also been noted by biographers. Ron Reagan, President and Nancy Reagan’s youngest child, often spoke “about his parents’ remoteness from everyone but each other.”

Even at her mother’s funeral Patti Davis was moved to speak about her conflicts with her mother, and in print she was even more descriptive of Nancy’s harsh expectations."

Michael Reagan: On the Outside Looking in Hardcover – April 1, 1988

"For 35 years (Ronald and Nancy Reagan married in 1952) I feel as if I have been in the middle of a battle between Mom and Nancy. . . . Nancy didn't like Mom any better than she does today . . . when I spoke badly of Nancy, Mom was pleased . . . it appeared that the only time we communicated was when we talked derogatorily about Dad and Nancy."

When they were children, Michael writes, his sister Maureen, the daughter of Jane Wyman and Ronald Reagan, nicknamed Nancy "Dragon Lady." Michael tells in the book how a bad report card once evoked from Nancy an ultimatum: "You're not living up to the Reagan name or image, and unless you start shaping up, it would be best for you to change your name and leave the house."

"Fine," he responded. "Why don't you just tell me the name I was born with so at least when I walk out the door I'll know what name to use."
