I think she was playing the Trump suckers for ratings, which in many ways makes her racist tweets much worse IMHO, brother.

Unlike Carol O'Conner and his Archie Bunker character, Barr remained in character while promoting her show and in interviews.
Given her history of political leanings I doubt that she was sincere.
I expect that in the next few days or weeks she will come forward, in a press conference, and tell everyone that she is a comedian and that she was just joking.
I also expect that no one, on either side, will buy it.
