Very interesting phenomenon isn't it? We like to paint our opponents as far left or right or as radicals to try and show them as out of the mainstream.

There are some on the right for whom no one could be both Speaker of the House and a conservative in the manner they want. There is no one that could become Speaker, stay Speaker and meet their demands.

That's not to say Ryan is above reproach because he isn't. But frustration for not having the power to pass legislation they wanted passed is being taken out on Ryan.

You are making a common error. They are not just leaving Congress. They are cashing in. After having fulfilled the tax giveaway promise to donors, they are leaving Congress with their hefty pension/compensation, and taking 'advisory' positions in any of a number of private corporations.

Yeah, he was forced to run an ad in the paper afterwards saying that his places were open to all. That is because they were not before. Trump claimed the ads were a financial imposition he should not have to pay.
