Speaker Paul Ryan told his House Republican colleagues Wednesday that he will not seek another term in Congress, ending what will be a three-year run as the Republican leader and creating a power vacuum in the GOP ranks heading into a difficult midterm election.

The announcement will set off a mad dash within the House Republican Conference. Majority Leader Kevin McCarthy (R-Calif.) and Majority Whip Steve Scalise (R-La.) are both eyeing the top spot. Though Scalise is almost certain to defer to McCarthy,

He'll cash in, like all the other 'retiring' Republicans who delivered tax cuts to wealthy donors.

Look for him to land a nice 'consulting' job.

Depends on the district. Many are still anchored to the trump base. They can't go against trump, unless the moron does something even dumber....like for Rosenstein/Mueller.
