Um no the majority of the people don't believe DACA is not worth a government shutdown. The republicans offered them amnesty for DACA recipients but the Dems will not budge on the wall, the lottery, or chain migration, they want everything and offer nothing, they are not negotiating in good faith.

I don't think that is what they are doing, but even if they are, they are only doing what they must to counter the Republicans who must appeal to the basest of Americans...because the basest of Americans are what make up the Republican core.
