The Republican Party has not shown any ability to actually govern the national government in a very long time. They make an outstanding loyal opposition...keeping liberal excesses in check. They should be the minority party. But...they control both houses of congress, the White House, a vast majority of the governorships, and a vast majority of state houses. They hardly know how or why to come in out of the rain.

They brought a proposition to Trump...a bipartisan proposition...and because the nutcases on the far right had gotten to him, he reneged on his promise to support it.

Trump owns this mess...and the mess is not a choice between "funding the government" and "working on DACA." The "mess" is that the Republican Party in the best of times doesn't know how to govern...and these are not "the best of times" for the GOP!

Why should an immigration bill be put in as part of a spending bill? I'll tell you why the Democrats are playing politics plain and simple. If Trump signed it they win if he rejected it they will blame him and the Republicans for shutting down the government. No sport The nation comes first then immigration. This crap is what has gotten the Democrats in the hot water they are in.

Are you referring to yesterday's meeting between Trump and Schumer? That was Trump trying to talk Schumer out of filibustering the bill that had already been passed by the Republican controlled House. Schumer decided to go ahead with the filibuster, effectively taking it out of Trump's hands. You clearly do not understand how a bill is passed in the US.
