I didn't call her anything. I don't use the word...
But, if she was feeling partly oppressed that day and felt the need to share her private emails on air...well, that's kind of sad...
That's not her job. It's not her personal platform. She was very unprofessional, in my opinion.
She should have replied to the email privately...

Honestly, this video made me realize that I must be remarkably shallow and insubstantial....because all I could focus on was how effing beautiful she was! What the heck was she even talking about?? (j/k)
Undoubtedly, all reasonable people can conclude this racist is a Trump supporter. What is it about the Republican part that is alluring, that draws, and provides safe harbor for vile, degenerate racists? I mean, I know the Dixiecrats defected to the GOP in the 1960s....but this is the year 2017. What is it about today's GOP that is so alluring to deplorable racists? Why do racists feel they have safe harbor and share common cause with the Republican Party? I am sure there is a simple answer to this question, but I have never seen a conservative offer one.

For those who need a bit of context behind this story, Atlanta has just held its mayoral election where race has played a huge role.
Atlanta has had black mayors and black leadership for over 40 years .. and it is in those years that Atlanta has boomed into the Jewel of the Southeast, providing jobs and opportunity for its citizens and surrounding communities. Atlanta is the best thing going in an otherwise poor red state.
Today, Atlanta attracts a growing white population, and this election was an opportunity to elect its first white mayor since 1974. Kathy Norwood, who calls herself an independent was that opportunity. Norwood, a closet republican, calls herself an independent because she knows, and has stated, that there is no chance in Hell of a republican being elected in Atlanta. So the race was not just about race, but also political ideology.
In the end, Norwood lost, and whites like the one Sharon Reed responded to are losing their minds about it.
The election was close and a recount is underway, but Norwood has been here before, losing to the current mayor by similar margins .. asked for a recount .. picked up one vote.
There you have the backdrop.

The racist right, no matter what label you give them, consist of white men who lost the civil war and are still pissed the slaves were freed. They have been fighting against Blacks every since. They make laws against Blacks, spread propaganda against Blacks, lie about Blacks, etc. Some white people are attracted to it because they hate Blacks as well. As long as Blacks are seen in a negative light, it makes their own life feel better.
Racist whites Blame Black for every ill this society has and a lot of white Americans believe it.

The answer to your question is actually quite simple. The Browning of America. It's the exact same answer to why Trump supporters cannot give him up no matter what he does. For them, it's Custer's Last Stand. From their perspective, they are under attack. They believe themselves to be entitled to their racist views and should have the right to use the N word as their grandpappy did.
Just looking at a woman like Sharon Reed sends chills down their weak spines .. this after America had the nerve to elect a black president .. twice.
I could go on and on and on .. but I'm sure you get the point.
Whites can use the word 'crackers' and black can use the word "nigger', but not visa versa.....thats an odd state of affairs

because the republican party feeds right back to them the idea that they are correct in thinking black people are their inferiors.
they are people unable to think of others in a kind way .
they see the entire world as a vehicle to sooth their self hate .
some people cant feel good about them selves without standing on the heads of others.
they have to find others who they can claim are no good so they can think to themselves "At least Im better than those people"
