NFL player sits for US National Anthem but stands for Mexico's National Anthem.

It claims to know nothing about what's going on between police and the black community .. on a board called justplainPOLITICS .. in a thread centered around those very issues and the protests against police abuses.
Is that just ignorance, racism, or the stench of top rubbing off on him?
I believe that he's simply ignorant, decidedly dishonest, and most certainly a racist. His new friend may have brought more of it out of him then you may be used to seeing.

LOL @ stench of Toxic. I hate to point out one error in your otherwise right-on post. Toxic has shown her racism publicly for years. I have several posts she made on Amazon, a public venue, telling racist jokes about a black guy trying to get a job, talking in what she thought was hilarious Ebonics to mock others in discussions about race like this one, and so on. I've posted some of them here. She reports them to the mods. There's much, much more but that will be told in PM only.

Make more popcorn, folks:)
The PM threat...oh noes:):rofl2:
Joel.net-the ebonics translator.
Want to drive them more insane than they already are?:)

You didn't answer my question.

And the whole thing is to get people talking about it nationally. It's not necessarily to say it's a "federal problem."

Stop being so willfully clueless.

I never said there wasn't problems in the inner cities. We've seen examples in the news for decades. My point is the inner cities isn't a federal problem but a state/local problem. What good does talking about it nationally accomplish? I'll tell you nothing. If you want to clean up the inner cities then it's the voters in those states that have to do it. What this old Florida boy says about what is going on in Chicago means squat. So this foolishness is nothing more than a stunt that pisses people off.

You guys are long on mouth and short on proof. I am still waiting for Mason to show proof about Best Western. You continually make charges but like Mason you never come through with anything but talk. Prove your charges and I will gladly confront her. But I seriously doubt you will.

I don't understand the bolded question. National conversation on any important issue is important. That's like saying only the border states should be talking about immigration.

I have a hard time buying the "outrage" over a guy kneeling during the anthem. I have to question why those who let themselves get so worked up over that muster hardly any emotion about the kind of corruption & abuse we see in authority on a weekly basis. I really don't get it. It's a guy kneeling.

15 people were exonerated in Chicago because of police corruption.

It's why people protest.

Exactly this.

Where is Trump's tweetstorm about that? Is one dude kneeling really more pressing & offensive?

It's all so transparent. It's difficult for intelligent people to watch while a nation gets conned.

Like what. Give two examples.
You're kidding, right?
"An average of 2 murders per day, the most killings in the city in two decades and more than New York and Los Angeles combined" As of lSept. 18, 2017, 500 homicides.
Like that?

>>"That's like saying only the border states should be talking about immigration."

No the difference is immigration is a national concern and is regulated by the federal government. Inner city violence and corruption isn't. What happens in say New York's Harlem has no effect on the people living in Orlando. Surly you can see the difference.

>>"I have a hard time buying the "outrage" over a guy kneeling during the anthem."

Have you ever served in the military?
If so have you ever been in combat?
I have!
I lost good friends fighting for the country the flag and the anthem represent. That is why we get upset when some over paid athlete shows disrespect. Now do you understand?

I don't even know how to read that. Does that make the corruption a very minor thing? Why is a guy kneeling bigger than both of those problems?
No one said the guy kneeling was "bigger than both"...
And no one said police "corruption" was minor.

I did not serve, but that doesn't mean I can't comment on this. I think the fault in your POV is that you absolutely refuse to look at INTENT. Most of the protestors have stated outright that they are not intending to disrespect the military, and in fact, many have family members serving in the military.

The "disrespect" issue is fabricated. Anyone who says that they should find a "more appropriate" way of protesting doesn't seem to understand what those rights fully mean.

I mean, that's basically what you're stating by trying to use that as a deflection.

If it isn't minor, why isn't Trump tweeting about it? Why aren't you commenting on it? Do you think one guy kneeling yesterday is more important than police corruption?

Commenting on what? The one guy kneeling during the National Anthem yesterday, that Anthem being sung by an Master Sergeant in the Army, really has nothing to do with police corruption.
That being said....are you more concerned about Police corruption than the murder rate in Chicago? Which is the bigger problem?
I'm more concerned about that than the guy who claims to have been stopped 100 times for no reason.
But kneeling for the anthem would have not any impact on the situation in Chicago, either.

What charges shall I prove now, that of course you'll deny and say are made up? The ones that Toxic is racist? And you'll "gladly confront" her publicly, right here? I've already posted these and she ran to the mods and whined. Nothing was said to me about them. Since you're pretending you didn't see them the first time (most of them posted in this thread), here is your proof that Toxic is racist, right here. All of these comments were on the old Amazon forum, dating back to 2011. I have the emails -- from Amazon -- to prove it. Since Amazon was also a public forum like this, she can't claim violation of personal info wah wah wah. Some of these are Toxic's own words; others are comments made to her naming her racist.

As far as my other claims, I have public records proof gathered by someone she stalked for years, who finally repaid the favor. But since that info would definitely be considered personal, I won't be tricked into posting it here. Anyone who doubts what I say is free to PM me for verification.

Cue the denials!

Got an ethnic job joke for you TR...

A black guy walks into his neighborhood welfare office, goes up to the counter and says, "Hi, I'm tired of foodstamps, monthly checks, and other government handouts. I'm ready to get a real job."
The man behind the counter says, "Great--I actually just got a request from a very rich man who wants a chauffeur and bodyguard for his nymphomaniac daughter. You job duties would include driving around in a huge white Mercedes, and the uniforms are provided. The hours are kind of long but you will be given meals and housing. You will be allowed escort the young lady on her cruises and international holidays. The salary package is $250,000 a year, to start."
The guy says, "Ah c'mon, bro, you've got to be bul..s...ting me!"
The man behind the counter said, "Well, you started it!"
Have a great day, TR!

"Yo damn lisa da po-po is stopping us ag'in becuase ah gots uh whitey in da `64. ah can't take it any mo' we's be finished ya'll is mad stupid."
I don't align with anyone you mention. and you can't prove that.
I'm not losing. As with VRWC, you're completely defensive because you're getting taken apart.
I call that a meltdown...
I most certainly did say that without the three "I's vote" he wouldn't have won. But this isn't about me.
this is about you, claiming not to be racist

First thank you for the kind words.

>>"I have seen more than a few soldiers and vets talk about this issue - and while there are some who feel as you do, there are also those who see that it's the protest that they fought for & that right, and not a piece of cloth."

The military is a microcosm of American society so you will find people on both sides of any issue. That said I believe you will find the vast majority believe as I and what appears to be a majority of Americans that the anthem should be respected and the protest is misplaced.

>>"I did not serve, but that doesn't mean I can't comment on this. I think the fault in your POV is that you absolutely refuse to look at INTENT. Please don't be offended. I asked simply to see if you understood the devotion most military past and present feel to the flag and anthem. You have every right to express your opinion and though I disagree with it I respect it. What you fail to see is intent means nothing when you are protesting the wrong thing. I continue to say that I understand what the intent is the point being they are aiming at the wrong thing. If you want to protest city hall you sure as hell won't get anywhere marching in front of the WH. Do you see what I mean. Protest is good as long as you are protesting to the right people and protesting the anthem is not the right way to go about it.

I don't know if you understand my point or not but I agree that the problems of police misuse of power and inner city problems need to be fixed but kneeling when the anthem is played accomplishes nothing and will never do anything to alieve the problems. The citizens must do that at the ballot box in every state were the problems exist.

Those are bogus stats meant to discredit President Obama because he came from Chicago. If you think murder only happens in Chicago, your dumber than a box of rocks.

Let me guess, only Black men are killing and dying in chicago every 2 minutes right? All criminal thugs right?
