Resistance may unite differing factions of the Democratic Party but it doesn't make the issues go away. We saw the exact same thing with Repubkicans and Obama. They have to be dealt with at some point

The Dems have plenty of fodder for the issues, if they're smart. Healthcare should be #1. Fair tax reform. Common sense foreign policy - an alternative vision for homeland security.
And they can easily reclaim the mantle of the middle class & small business right now. Exceedingly easy to paint Trump as the candidate of the rich at this point.
You are not a democrat, nor liberal. What the fuck do you care what their message is?
We don't want nor need your advice on how we move forward.

There are loyalists in the old guard, but the vast majority of Dems have moved on from Hillary, imo. She had her chance & blew it. This isn't the Clinton's party anymore.
I'm not sure it's Bernie's party either. The election was a year ago, and blew everything up for Democrats. They're still finding themselves, but there is plenty of low hanging fruit out there once they start honing a national message.
The dems were on the right track they elected President Obama for gawds sake. That alone was moving the country in the right direction. If the dems don't start moving to the left THEN they will start paying a price.

I know the election is three years away but your most recent polling shows Bernie as the current leader. The discussions a few people are having on this board are the same being written about in liberal publications about being which direction does the party go as there are definite divisions. (Just as in the Republican Party)
That prob was not his proudest moment but the fear of a trumpf victor scared many ppl, forcing them to make very tough decisions...
Unfortunately those fears have come to fruition & the monster is as bad/stupid/selfish etc etc etc as feared.....
Fortunately his own party, aka the it party usurped is not on board & he isn't getting much done & lots of losing...

I was pretty disgusted with Democrats who made the wrong choice - but supported and voted for Hillary once nominated. I've argued with many Bernie supporters who did not vote for Hillary.
It's not really between Hillary and Bernie - as I said, they're just representatives of the wings of the party. It's a real divide that needs to be addressed unless you want to have a lot of one wing not vote for the nominee if the other wing is nominated. Either the centrists or the progressives will 'win' control of the party, and you can't just ignore the differences.
In my opinion, that had a lot to do with Hillary's huge advantage going in on name recognition, and Bernie being unknown, and Hillary's campaign machine being effective at that. Plenty of strong black leaders who got to know Bernie supported him and if he had been nominated, he'd have had the support of black voters against trump.
I'll take a look at the article. But that's a false smear to imply many Bernie supporters helped put trump in office. More Bernie supporters voted for Hillary, than Hillary supporters voted for Obama in 2008.
Bernie handled it right. He understood how to fight the issue more effectively, and that tearing down the party at that time which would do nothing but help trump win was not a good idea.
You should be embarrassed for suggesting that was a good idea. He was not a 'shill' - he was supporting the best option we had and what was best for getting progressives elected in the future. He did the right thing - and the 'practical' thing.
Democrats need to disown Bernie and make him a pariah. Make it happen evince!
