That is a cop out, I was in the military, and all families with members in the military are not part of any military environment, regardless, there is no excuse for the "he knew what he signed up for" regardless of who you are, it's like telling a spouse of a guy who just died of cancer at the wake that "he knew he had cancer." And not even mentioning the soldiers by name compounds the inconsideration

The President should have known better, Kelly is excusable, but not the President, especially when he made the whole incident all about him

Prove that. The wife, mother or father have said nothing to the press. The way anyone has heard about that is through the Congress woman third hand. Not the actual family.

What????????????????????????????????????? Are you telling me families living on bases are not part of the military environment? That they do not have clue what might happen to their spouses? Not sure what military you were in.
