I don't understand your attitude. It pisses you off that someone who is white and is Republican actually cares about the issue and discusses it. I'm asking BAC his opinion and how he see's change playing out.

What will corporate pressure do? A bathroom law is pretty straightforward black and white (please pardon the pun). Legislating police behavior is a much more complicated issue.

Rich elites can't express political opinions? Sure you are a Republican? Citizens United much? Last I checked corporations can donate money to campaigns and try to derail others. And it's not like a corporation enjoys a social hour or non business time to do it.
When a corporation is "expressing" itself it's "on the job." Is a player on the clock while the flag ceremony is going on? I don't think so. He isn't in a huddle, the coach isn't talking to him. They carve out a moment where we are all watching the flag and some
ditz or dudimous is warbling disrespectfully through the anthem. That's not work detail, that's a coffee break. Why should you or the boss have a say in what anyone does does on break? He didn't defame the corporation while on break, he chose to not stand at attention
for the flag. If he wants to pick his nose, scratch his nuts or practice punts or take a leak, none of the employers business. Plus, players omitting to fall in line aren't likely making a statement about their financial plight, they are likely giving Trump and your ilk the middle finger.
Good on them. You have the right to express your disgust and vote against these people with your wallet by the same license they have the right to piss you the hell off by having a conscience.

And I've seen his position of 'over charging' before. If this case follows all the others, the prosecutors purposely over charged in order to get the decision they wanted in the first place.

When a player is in uniform they are on the clock. They can be thrown out of games before it starts and they can get penalties before it starts.

Overcharged is a new excuse for the privilege.

You never hear overcharged in the Black community. Hell they will charge yo momma with accessory even if she wasn't there.

FBI
CIA
ICE
Federal Bureau of Prisons

You get the picture.

This is institutional and deep rooted.

Cocaine/crack was an epidemic back then. Crime was through the roof. These days it's heroin. People die before they can rob someone.

When you have Ferguson, with a majority black population governed by a racist white coalition, it's because nobody cares enough to vote. That's why I feel Kap dropped the ball. In an election year, he should have been screaming from the rooftops about getting out to vote. Instead, he couldn't be bothered to vote because 'it doesn't matter'. At the very least, vote locally

Correct! There was a lot of crime at that time, but the real criminals weren't the one's going to these newly, privately funded prisons. This was/is the republicans one and only safe place they can go and get support from All Americans. Crime!

They used the southern strategy to continue the lie to the American people that crime=Blacks........then plastered Black people being arrested in astronomical numbers as criminals on the nightly news, every night.

Fast forward to 2017 and we have millions of Black men and women behind bars and it was all by design.

America has a very sordid history and people need to know the truth. That is the only way we can begin to move forward.

As the saying goes "if you don't know history you're doomed to repeat it".

I disagree.

I can't blame the Black citizens of Ferguson, most of them couldn't vote. The city made sure they arrested lots of Blacks not only to fund their own city budget, but to also take away their voting rights.

How did voting locally help when just 50 years ago, Blacks couldn't vote?

Bill Clinton and a democratic led Congress passed the crime bill. Most people don't like crime in their neighborhood. Hence even the CBC supporting the bill.
