People kept talking like Obama took the economy into the tank or something. Obama inherited a near-Depression and brought us back to almost full employment by the time he left.

Trump is in so far over his head. Where are the "big deals" he was going to make? Silly voters - taken in by a silly con man.

The hurricanes are a large factor, as the article stated. However, trump is going to have a hard time convincing anyone but his base that he's doing a much better job than Obama did with respect to jobs:

I'm expecting to see a huge bump higher once construction starts in the storm damaged regions.

Market is growing, as corporations continue stock buybacks. Dividends soar, as hiring slows.

There are two economies, as usual. The facade of Wall St., and the actual jobs numbers.

Well, the GOP did whine for 8 straight years how Obama was "destroying America" by taking unemployment from above 10% to below 5%, so obviously Trump ending Obama's 7 year continuous job creation streak, is what they consider "making America great again."

Unemployment rate dropped. So since that number means so much to you this is good news
 
Trump can't ride Obama's coattails forever. Reality will come crashing down, and when it does, a Democrat or equivalent will have to pick up the pieces. Just like Obama did.

There's nothing another tax cut for the rich won't fix. That amounts to the totality of Trump's tax reform.

I do believe there will be negative repercussions of the Fed's zero interest rate. America should have been buying America's debt during all these years to pay for infrastructure. It was a fucking gift that was squandered.

trump said the unemployment numbers were fake under Obama. Now he brags about Obama's policies continuing to cause the numbers to drop, as if he has anything to do with them. Ironic is that he now believes they are accurate.

Zappa was touting the unemployment rate when it was dropping due to people leaving the workforce. He must still be happy with this current drop

We had years of record low interest rates and we still couldn't reach 3% annual growth. Not good chances we will now with the Fed starting to unwind

They'll be dumping the bonds at a pretty slow rate, which is supposed to minimize impact. The QEs were meant to keep banks liquid, which did little more than increase their balance sheets as they kept some lending pretty tight.

We'll see a large bump in construction, no matter the interest rate. Hurricanes are to thank for that. There will be positive repercussions from the Fed removing itself from artificially deflating interest rates.

Bonds will pay more, as will savings accounts. It's time to stop funneling all the money to the market, and allow investors a better avenue for safe investing.
