Wondering how many at the concert were /are fervent right-wing gun supporters?

Given that it was country music, perhaps all of them were / are.

Typically, either that or there's an ideological component.

The target doesn't point towards deranged right winger since country music concerts are full of Deplorables. And the shooter left no ideological foot print online, so I would guess he was just plain crazy.

Most of the people who have committed these kinds of domestic shootings have had some sort of mental instability.

I wonder if Thomas Jefferson could have picked off 400 people at that range with a revolutionary war rifle. You know, original intent? Hmmmmm.

Time has not changed the fact that criminals don't obey the law and there is no law that could prevent this.
 
Nevada gun laws are the most relaxed in the country .. and visitors to Las Vegas often come packing.

But even if they had guns, what were they going to do .. fire their weapons into the Mandalay Bay hotel?

In this situation whether the concert was a gun free zone is irrelevant. No one with a gun was going to be able shoot this guy based on where he was located.
