It's time to escalate this discussion.

There is just something very wrong w/ this guy. Of all of the possible responses to PR, this one never even crossed my mind - it's kind of unthinkable for a leader to put his or her focus on feeling personally slighted when so many are suffering and need help.

It's a problem.

Trump was elected by the Electoral College (not the American people) with the full knowledge that he is a cheezy, self-promoting salesman of steaks and hotels, a person who has never shown the slightest empathy, a dude who has made it his number one priority in life to make lots of money, a person of is well know to be arrogant, vindictive, and petty, a person who did not actually expect to be elected president, and a dude who does not have the slightest qualification or capacity to be leader of the free world.

The Electoral College knew that about Trump, and still selected him.

That by itself illustrates that the Electoral College is pointless and undemocratic. The only conceivable reason for having it in a 21st century democratic republic is to safeguard against despots, authoritarians, and dangerously unqualified boobs from attaining the oval office. Especially, one would think, if they lost the popular vote...by a lot! And the E.C. could not even do that job properly.

Where in the constitution does it say that if a candidate loses the popular vote, the EC must vote the the candidate who won the popular vote?

I have never implied that the admin has done "nothing." But Trump hasn't made it a national priority - he has failed the people of PR.

Stop defending him. It's embarrassing.

The EC is an outdated mechanism that was created to appease the slave states.

Righties will cling to it and fight changing it for as long as they can. Without it, they're pretty much done in terms of POTUS.

This should be the 1st order of business when Dems are back in the majority.

I am mocking you. You see just because someone does share your unhinged view of Trump doesn’t mean they defend him at every turn

The fact remains that you and others never thought he should be President. Worse, you never thought he WOULD be President. That has led your entire online existence to search for any and every Trump slight no matter how trivial to criticize him in a childish effort to validate your pre election feels
