Jerry Jones and the entire Cowboys team take the knee

who ever said "standing i s sign of "unity?" it's a sign of RESPECT -something you guys don't understand because you have no historical memory. Everybodys a spoiled child now having to feel good..suck it up.. see my sig
Try to keep up with the thread if you're going to weigh in

The protesters aren't saying different things. Those who criticize free speech, keep giving idiotic reasons for the behavior on the sidelines. As such, when the idiot in the White House makes his inane remarks disparaging black athletes, the entire league unites to make a statement against the Nazi.

That doesn't mean the original issue has changed one iota.
his comments were not a at being black, it as at kneeling.. you guys made this a racial event -look at what BAC posts

Kaep would probably be the best backup in the league right now if he was playing (I'm a holdout on the Jimmy G hype, though - maybe Kaep would be 2nd at worst).

Um...not a big revelation as far as what Kaep's intent was.

Duh.

Kap's intent was to kneel [ironically, a universal sign of submission lol] during the Anthem because he stated, in his own words, that the flag was a symbol of oppression.

Come off the fence for once, do you agree with him or not?

I don't fully agree w/ him. I think "oppression" is strong, and I think the flag symbolizes much more than that. I also think you & many like you are blind to what things are like in the black community.

It's not a fence. Make no mistake about this whatsoever: I could completely disagree w/ Kaep's views, and they could tick me off in a big way. But I would 100% support his right to do what he is doing, and I would 100% oppose a sitting President trying to use his influence on a private business to try to shut that speech down.

You should read Scalia's opinion on flag-burning. It will teach you something about freedom.

Scalia comes at it from a Constitutionalists p.o.v. -and that's fine for what it is.

Noone is suggesting criminalizing free speech -we are saying the anthem kneeling is inappropriate and insulting

Did I say Kap doesn't have the right to poop on the flag if he wanted to?

Can you bring yourself to condemn Kap as a radical?

Do you understand that this is the same thing Trump and his hypnotized supporters were saying about liberals and "PC" issues for over a year, and calling them "snowflakes" for and all of that?

Why would I want to "condemn" Kap? My goodness. I have none of that sentiment for him.

I may disagree w/ some aspects of what he's doing, but not all. I'm sick of people saying that rich guys should just take their checks and shut up: if someone in Kap's position doesn't speak up for many in the black community who do not have a prominent position or wealth, who will?

And I have applauded Kap's courage. He basically gave up his career and lost millions to stand up for those less fortunate than himself. This is the kind of thing that made America great to begin with.

So, no, snowflake - I won't "condemn" him.

oh please. PC suppresses free speech in favor of pre-approved or politically sanctioned speech.
PC is anti-free speech by nature
This is not a free speech issue ( despite the conflations) anyways.

It's respect for the flag "and for the Republic for which it stands"..while the kneeling is disrespect

Again with why you people can't win elections.

You have no idea how culturally out of step you are with a large swath of the electorate. Anyone who symbolically pisses on the flag rates being called an SOB.

That's the reigning opinion in most of the states Hillary lost.

Again w/ your generalities about "majorities" of people, just based on your own feelings.

1 more year, Darthy. You're just like desh in '08. No different, at all.

And you didn't refute a thing that I said. Once it gets a little too intellectual for you, you bail and fall back to the trite "losing elections" lameness.
