Jerry Jones and the entire Cowboys team take the knee

That's why I ask the question who should handle it. The Fed doesn't exactly have the best record with the militarization of the police etc.
It's already been mentioned here. Do what NY did...take it out of the hands of the local prosecutors' hands. They have an incestuous relationship with the cops.

nobody has shit on a police car yet......

Some classless animals are practicing though...........

Odell Beckham Jr. celebrates after scoring a touchdown by imitating a dog urinating.

How are they overpaid?
They're paid millions of dollars to chase a little ball around the field for 5 months a year.

And I'm sure you realize that scores of middle class workers and small businesses are potentially negatively impacted by this, as well.
They can thank the Anti-American League for their en masse display and embrace of shitting on the flag and this country.

They're paid millions of dollars to chase a little ball around the field for 5 months a year.

But millions of people pay to watch that, and the NFL makes billions, so they're paid according to market value.

Do you have any other justification for the characterization of "overpaid"? Are you anti-market?

When appropriate. I don't use it in every single argument because I can't debate in the arena of ideas. Libs do that 100% of the time. Because they are intellectually lazy and dishonest.

When appropriate my ass. Like the rest of you right-wing ass holes, you couldn't find one racist thing I've said .. while you on the other hand have a long record of blatantly classless racist comments.

The blow-up doll awaits your racist ass.

According to some, it's about the military.

ooops

President Truman wants to guarantee equal access to education, decent housing and jobs. But Congress refuses to act, and the President won’t push to pass civil rights laws.

https://constitutioncenter.org/timeline/html/cw10_12249.html

This isn't about the military either .. it's all about race and the hate of black athletes.

Racists are cowards. They don't have the balls to stand up and speak the truth of their racism.

this is the best compromise that could be had. Don't disrespect the flag, protest another way.

It doesn't make any sense as a protest against trump though, because trumps comments were specifically regarding doing anything during the national anthem. So to protest trump they end up agreeing with him? LOL?

Looking for compromise, address the issues of police murders and brutality.

they might not have realized that they weren't intending to kneel the whole time. Did they continue to boo during the anthem?

Was the anthem playing while they were booing?

How about NO .. and many continued to boo even after they stood up.

Neither the flag nor the anthem have anything to do with this .. but you can pretend whatever you want.

so as I observed, it seems the vast majority of the booing stopped when they stood up. Which means the crowd could very easily have assumed they intended to kneel for the national anthem.

The "disrespecting the flag" and "spitting on our military" thing is a false, talk radio-fabricated narrative.

The NFL players' actions are neither. Any thinking human understands this. Talk radio doesn't rely on thinking humans.

no it's not a false narrative. The cowboys specifically tried to find a compromise and a way to not offend the flag by kneeling. that's why they did it before the national anthem. They literally thought, discussed, and planned on how to protest while not disrespecting the flag by kneeling. Essentially, the cowboys do not agree with others kneeling during the anthem, given they took such actions to avoid doing that.

They were adjusting to the irrational reaction, fueled by talk radio.

The new poll by Rasmussen finds that 34 percent are less likely to watch the NFL because of the protests. Only 12 percent said the protests made them more likely to watch while 50 percent said the protests did not impact their viewing habits.

you do realize the NFL isn't running for an election where 66% is a good number, right? When you lose a third of your viewship, that is very very very very very very bad.

They were adjusting to the irrational reaction, fueled by talk radio.

you really are confused huh?

so which is it, NFL owners standing up to Trump? or bowing to pressure from the fans? Realizing how stupid they were the week before?

go ahead, you pick

and who listens to talk radio? do you know someone that does?

I think all he wanted to do was start a conversation. Can't argue that he did that.

I said on another thread yesterday: regardless of how I feel about the topic of the protest or choice of method, I have to applaud Kaep. How many people are willing to give up their jobs and literally millions of dollars to take a stand for others?

dude, he didn't "give up his job" - he's not being hired because he sucks at football.

They were adjusting to the irrational reaction, fueled by talk radio.

like it or not, people are going to interpret kneeling during the national anthem as disrespectful. If it is your intention to convey a certain message, there are better ways of accomplishing that. The cowboys found the perfect solution, they still sent their message, but respected the flag. This solution is not that hard to conceive of.

Of course, as I pointed out earlier, this recent kneeling gesture is because of trumps comments, and trumps comments were about kneeling during the anthem, and the cowboys acknowledge what trump was saying and decided to not do that. So their 'protest' is kinda moot.

He's better than most of the backups in the league. He'd have a job if not for the protest.

sooo, confused again huh :rofl2:

so which is it, NFL owners are backing the protest, even joining in
buuuut
they won't hire Kapernick?

So they are avoiding Kapernick controversy
oooorrrr
joining in?

you're a hoot

As far as the flag is concerned this is what Kaepernick said:

Colin Kaepernick: I won't stand 'to show pride in a flag for a country that oppresses Black people'
