2020 Democrat contenders

he is white. Democrats will not nominate a white person.

Don't be silly. He's a proven whoremaster. That's a badge of honor for a DEMOCRAT, isn't it?

We already know DEMOCRATS will vote for him - because they already did, and they voted for rapin' Bill twice, didn't they?

I think there are a lot of Democrats who are a bit smug about defeating Donald Trump in 2020. They need to slap each other and wake up. Trumps win was no fluke and despite the conventional wisdom of Trump being his own worst enemy with already a host of self inflicted wounds it would be wise to remember that you have to nominate a candidate who can actually win and in that respect Democrats look real thin on the ground.

If Dems do as last time and nominate a high ranking party insider, probably a Senator, with one notable exception, they will lose. Most of the leading Democrat Senators are women who aren’t exactly popular at the national level. Knoblocher, Harris, Gillibrand and Warren might appeal to the base but are also lightening rods. Biden is capable but to old and one could say the same about Bernie and Bros. Al Franken, given his personality and media savvy would be about the only Dem congress critter I would give a slim chance too.

Governors have a much better track record of win in but who do the Dems have?

McCaulife is too much a party insider. Hickenlooper has solid credentials and has the gravitas but isn’t well known nationally, Jerry Brown? He has the age problem too. Corey Booker? Does anyone want another DLC moderate?

Not exactly anyone inspiring in the whole lot.

Maybe we should nominate a rich low IQ blowhard asshole racist TV braggart who abandons all core Democratic values in favor of building a wall to keep all the Jesus states away from us. Oh that's right, that could only work with a party filled with total morons.

So it's a perfect strategy for DEMOCRATS. I hope they don't listen to your advice, Junior. :rofl2:

You already did. His name is John Kerry

I think the democrat party will want to cover all of its bases this time around. Therefore they will nominate a female, half black, half mexican, transgendered midget who self identifies as a dude 225 days out of the year and is bisexual.

Did I miss anything?

brains......but demmycrats don't consider that essential.....

Pocahontas is a woman and a minority. Two identity politics points!

North Korea claimed to have successfully detonated a miniaturized nuclear device at a northeastern test site, state media said, defying U.N. Security Council orders to shut down atomic activity or face more sanctions and international isolation.

South Korea confirmed that the North had indeed carried out the test, and condemned it.

Official North Korean state media said the test was conducted in a safe manner and is aimed at coping with "outrageous" U.S. hostility that "violently" undermines the North's peaceful, sovereign rights to launch satellites. North Korea faced sanctions after a December launch of a rocket the U.N. and Washington called a cover for a banned missile test.

South Korea said earlier Tuesday that the size of the seismic activity indicated a nuclear explosion a bit bigger larger than Pyongyang's two previous tests, of 6-7 kilotons, Reuters notes. The bomb dropped by the U.S. on Hiroshima bomb was around 20 kilotons.

The North said it used a "lighter, miniaturized atomic bomb" that still has more explosive force than devices tested previously.

North Korea said that it had carried out a powerful underground nuclear test -- its second test, which was much larger than one the regime conducted in 2006.

The test was conducted in Kilju, in northeastern North Korea, the South Korean government said. South Korea and the U.S. were said to have been caught off-guard by the test, The New York Times reported at the time.

Analysts cited by the Times believed that this test was meant to be a show of strength during a succession crisis, given that North Korean leader Kim Jong Il was thought to have had a stroke a few months earlier, in August. The test, the North hoped, would ease the transition to Kim Jong Un, by proving the regime's military prowess.

You are a fool.

Not bombs, and only based on what North Korea said?

You are an idiot who cannot read, or a liar.

Which is it, Comrade Brad Jarod?
:rofl2:

Thats the arrogant attitude I like to see coming from the Republicans. It will make it more likely we can pull it off.
You mean like Democrats had last year? I mean let’s face it Dems smugly underestimated Trump and overestimated the intelligence of the American public.

A lot of wishful thinking there. Hillary won't have a chance, or Warren or Sanders this time around. Schultz? Please.

Obama came out of nowhere, as did Trump. I'm sure we're not even thinking of the person who will eventually get the nomination at this point.

But it should be a good race. Trump is extremely unpopular, and it is unlikely that Dems will nominate someone as flawed as Hillary again.
i don’t mean to rattle your cage but Dems nominated Al Gore in 2000 and followed that up 4 years later with John Kerry. Both of whom lost to a post turtle. I don’t share your confidence.
