I mean Trump's statement that "Trump Towers" was tapped is suspect, but not the fact Trump or his staff was tapped.

Until yesterday the COMPLETE DENIAL was Trump wasn't tapped.

yes Obama did, and for the purpose of helping Hillary illegally listen to Trump and his staffs phone calls, and any other electronic communications under false pretense.

They were turned down by FISA several times before they finally had success with a surveillance order.

Right there, that tells they had little or nothing to go on in terms of Russian collusion. I believe it was a hoax from the get-go.

Collusion was just a pretext to go on an 'incidental finding' fishing expedition.

Then, after recommending that Trump fire Comey, AG Rosenstein appoints a Spurious Prosecutor to investigate Trump for obstruction.

After recommending that Trump fire him[!]. How do you even make this stuff up?

Meanwhile, weeks after Trump appoints Sessions as AG, Sessions recuses himself in the Russian investigation. That had to be a WTF?! Moment for Trump. Sessions should have had the decency to tell Trump he was going to recuse before Trump appointed him.

But it becomes a perfect set up for the Deep State, because now they have Trump boxed in, politically. Sessions can drag his feet [and is] on re-opening the Hillary investigation, or the Susan Rice investigation, the Wasserman IT investigation and the whole host of other investigations that ought to be occurring, because Trump can't fire Sessions without appearing like he's trying to protect himself.

I'm serious in that I have never seen such "boxing in"as you correctly put it.
You had that Obama order ginning up raw intelligence into report forms too.
