Hillary Clinton says the Electoral College 'needs to be eliminated'

As I keep saying, I'm torn on it - but it's pretty obvious that conservatives are terrified of changing the system.

For that matter, conservatives are terrified of more people actually voting. From motor voter all the way through the current "voter integrity commission" or whatever it is, they have consistently, without fail, opposed and tried to keep down any measure that would enable more people to vote.

So, I get it. Without the electoral, future elections would look pretty bleak for the righties.

on the other hand, lib'ruls are terrified that we might find out if the people voting are allowed to vote.......why is that?.....

It isn't my fantasyland SF it is how it operates, sorry. Majority doesnt always mean 50% or greater it can mean the largest number.

Provided that largest number is greater than 1/2 of the total. Otherwise, look up the term plurality.

That assumes that all those additional people you say would vote would vote for the left wing candidates.

Don't confuse not needing to change something that works the way people way smarter than you knew it would with fear. Sounds to me as if you support change for the sake of changing.

Hillary didn't win a majority of the popular vote? Did I read you correctly, is that what you meant, really?0

Well, then let's look at this.

Trump won 30 States and Hillary won 21 States, counting the District of Columbia

Now let's look at what would have happened, if the States had assigned EC Delegates by the percentage of votes:
Trump would have had won 47.42% of the votes and Hillary would have won 45.92%, with 6.66% going to other Candidates.

What would have happened, if the State percentages and been rounded up:
Trump would have won 48.6% of the votes and Hillary would have won 43% of the vote, with 8.4% going to other Candidates.

So just curious, do the liberals still want to be "triggered" over how California voted??

Just in case someone disagrees, I took all my info from this site.

:dealwithit:

Nope, it can also be, as in this case, the greater number, sorry didn't mean to change my post to remove part of the definition, I was just trying to clean it up.

A majority doesn't always mean more than half

"...A majority doesn't always mean more than half..."??

WTF

A quarter million?? A 100,000?? Is this Euro, dollars or yen?? You guys using clamshells again now that you're getting booted out of Europe??
Bill, Jesus just called. He said he wants you for a sunbeam!
