Hillary Clinton says the Electoral College 'needs to be eliminated'

No it isn't you lying freak.
Senators are directly elected.

the PROPORTIONAL representation of Congress MATCHES the electors assigned to each state
in the same fashion the bicameral make up of Congress is represented..

gawd almighty you need everything spoon fed

The EV votes for Senators weren't given to a State having anything to do with population. That Senators are directly elected now because of the 17th Amendment doesn't change what those 2 votes represent and why they are there for each State. If you understood things beyond the primitive level on which you exist, you'll know that what I'm saying is the absolute truth.

Bottom line is that if one is from a populous state and their candidate lost they likely are going to dislike the system. If one is from a lower populated state they'd be silly to ever want the EC system eliminated...whether their candidate won this election or not. Just my 2 cents. Put a couple bucks with that and you can buy yourself a pop.

Well, that sums it up. I don't rue anyone from a smaller state for supporting the EC, and I'm torn on it myself. But at the same time, it's extremely strange that Hillary won by 3 million votes nationally & still lost; I think that has to look off to other countries looking at our election. And it's also strange that 2 of the most populous states now live under a government which does not represent their political leanings at all.

Hillary didn't win. Popular votes don't pick the President, therefore, no one can win something using a factor that isn't used to determine the winner.

Trump won by getting 34 more of the type of vote that does choose the President. Don't like it, do something to change it. If you can't, that leaves two options. Live with it or move on. Since you keep whining about it, it appears as if you're only left with one option is it bothers you that much.

You do know that the way electoral votes are divided within a State has nothing to do with any federal law saying it has to be done that way?

McCain won Texas. He still lost to Obama.

See that? See how people can still win things & lose the ultimate goal? How 'bout that.

Hillary still didn't win. She couldn't beat someone she considered an idiot. Not a good sign for her. Now, her only avenue is to find excuses as to why she lost.

Seems McCain sold out his own party when it came to voting for something he ran against in 2008. He couldn't beat an unqualified black.
