President Trump made good on his promise to donate $1 million to Harvey relief efforts.

The president sent 12 checks to organizations helping Texas and Louisiana recover after last month's disastrous storm.

The Salvation Army and American Red Cross received the most notable donations — $300,000 each.

Reach Out America and the Samaritans Purse, two Christian relief organizations, received $100,000 each and the other eight groups — ASPCA, Catholic Charities, Direct Relief, Habitat for Humanity, the Houston Humane Society, Operation Blessing, Portlight Inclusive Disaster Strategies and Team Rubicon – received $25,000 each.

Mr. Trump’s inauguration allowed unlimited individual donations, and corporate donations of up to $1 million. The group took $5 million from casino magnate Sheldon Adelson, and millions more from business giants including Boeing, AT&T and Reynolds American.

The committee’s total haul of $107 million was nearly twice that of Mr. Obama’s inauguration in 2009."

The funds have not been distributed, still, it will probably take awhile, Trump forgot his charity was shut down ;)
