Honest question for Rumppers, what about him caused you to be attracted? Why did you chose to vote for him? What polities of his do you support?

Your not going to get much of a response on that one, maybe couple of personal attacks like the one above, but no real content

Fact of the matter is a large majority of them don't know either than they hated Hillary, the conservative phobia with anything Clinton goes back decades

There have been thousands of posts on this board over why people voted for Hillary or Trump. We know why people voted as they did.

And quit crying Legion.

SO, it was not his political positions but the what you believe he has accomplished in the past?

Had he expressed a liberal ideology, would you have voted for the same accomplishments?

america first things like pulling out of paris because it required us to fund developing countries like china.

Where do I begin? I liked his fraudulent real estate school, lies about revealing his income tax returns, inexplicable friendliness with Russia, calling undoc immigrants rapists and criminals, mocking a disabled man, mocking a grieving father of a slain US soldier and his religion and his wife all at the same time, saying a journalist moderator was unhinged due to menstruation, antagonizing China, alienating our allies, climate change denial, etc. But what really sold me was his bragging confession to serial sexual assault enabled by his fame. That was the kicker.

What, does that make me deplorable?

antagonizing china makes you a deplorable : ) deplorables realize china is a legitimate threat to take over the US position.

This has been asked and answered many times. Apparently GayRod has electricity back and everyone around him is back to normal and doesn't need his help because he has plenty of time to post here today

There is an interesting psychology at work with stuff like this - it's not necessarily exclusive to one side of the political aisle, but it's certainly most pronounced w/ Trump.

I think most Trump voters were simply against Hillary, and wanted some sort of change. They knew how flawed and ridiculous Trump was as both a candidate and as a human being at one time. But something happens when people commit their vote to someone like that - psychologically, they tend to just go "all in," and try to justify their support with more than just a not-Hillary rationale. As time progresses, Trump becomes not just a "lesser of 2 evils" alternative. We see all of the MAGA and "winning" stuff that they're now regularly regurgitating, without much thought.

This is most visible in someone like Hannity. I remember when he was against Bush in 2000. Then, when Bush became the candidate, he was all in. Once the Iraq War happened, he was REALLY all in - he had to justify his support, so Bush became this guy who could practically do no wrong. Now, he has moved on, and routinely slams Bush & the Bush's in general, because Trump is the partisan icon du jour. And he is so in on Trump; his show is now nothing more than a Trump-defense fest.

In 5 years, guys like Hannity will be talking about Trump in much different terms.

He is a successful businessman with a lifetime of Executive experience and a SPINE. A strong leader who doesn't care about opinion polls or pleasing his detractors.

Most of all, he seems to truly LOVE America and hate our enemies. Something I feel we've been missing for a long time.

He had enough money to fund his own campaign in the primaries and was beholden to no one. Not a single other candidate can say that.

Those are just a few things.

I appreciate that you provided reasons, but his business success was built on destroying small business owners & contractors, and he doesn't care a bit about America. Trump is about himself, solely.

And he didn't fund his own campaign.
